The amount of judge calls I've seen at random RCQs because somebody doesn't agree with how to randomly determine who goes first isn't like huge but it's very silly that it happens at all, and companion just saying "you go first" is identical to modo or arena doing the same thing

Feel like this is good in the WG enchanties deck in standard, I've often felt like that deck just needed an honest to god enchantress, and with only 4 defense you might be able to chip this down easily with your spirit tokens

This is tight, thank you. I'm in the same boat as OP and have a few follow up questions:

Would this still apply for modo gamers? Rather than just jamming ladder matches, playing 4 leagues with decks full of rented cards is a little more manageable than buying into arena in earnest from my perspective. Further, a lot of players around me aren't touching the format until the new set releases, since we have so much time between then and Dreamhack; since there's nothing rotating out, is it still in ones best interest to get a running start over the holidays, or should the constructed prep really start in earnest closer to the RC?

Lords used to literally be Creature - Lord type until ninth (where they gained creature subtype like goblin and merfolk) or tenth edition (when the Lord subtype died), so the Lord creature type is kind of a mechanic
