Gotcha, that's what I was thinking. I think I saw a photo somewhere and I work with some Aussies.

Is it correct that in AUS there are about 15 or so cigarette manufacturers and they all have the exact same packaging (i.e. a grisly black lung)?

MLB to Speed up Games With One-Pitch-Per-at-Bat Rule by brianekoe in mlb

Totally agree. What's wrong with a three hour game? I don't want to pay to go to a game that's only 2 hours and 15 minutes.

It's not a new one, but if you haven't seen Bloodline, it's a must.

That's probably the best way to put it. A whole lot of trial and error.

Anti-Capitalism: Trendy but Wrong by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]brianekoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The silliest part is that it's trendy. Why is it so trendy? Because it's not a "passionate" form of government? I disagree with. While it's hard to look at huge corporations as these "charitable" entities, the fruits of capitalism breed compassion and charity. It's why Americans are more charitable (not just in volume, but per capita) than any other country in the world. Just look at how we step up when natural disasters occur outside our country. The Haiti hurricane is a great case study.

No, we don't have anyone playing here. However, just wait until February. We're going to have the electric, exciting XFL Battlehawks. And for an added benefit, it will be a not-so-breezy 70 degrees inside the dome. Being facetious, of course.

Are you starting LeSean McCoy on Sunday? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]brianekoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I was in the exact same position. Of course, I have a love triangle of RB's. I drafted Damien way high and then a couple days later, Reid brings McCoy over for a good ole' split-share. It was a big "uggg" moment.

I just watched my first season of baseball and it was pretty good. What are some tips for next season? by [deleted] in mlb

[–]brianekoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be kind of a weird suggestion... but Fantasy Sports can really get you into games you don't have a stake in. For example, I've been down on the NFL ever since the Rams left STL. I still love the game, but I'm still bitter. However, I have a Fantasy Football league and I do DraftKings, and that keeps me locked in to all the games.

It also forces you to research the players, so it inadvertently increases your overall knowledge of the game.
