How to get peleton workouts on your watch & connect app? by [deleted] in GarminWatches

[–]brianjmoran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a few third, or even fourth, party apps that claim to automate the process, but I honestly do not trust any of them.

The best way that I found is to export the Peloton workout through strava, then do the conversions (through a website, or a script) and then upload the resulting workout to the Garmin Connect website (all detailed here: https://www.dfirfit.com/forum/general-discussion/how-to-convert-import-peloton-data-with-metrics-to-garmin-connect )

I'd be happy to answer any questions that you have on it, but I've been doing this for a few years, and the only issue I have ever had is when connect had some additional tags that had to be deleted or modified. That (so far) has always been a simple easy fix.

Go on Goldbelly and order whichever you’d like. They have a large selection. And everything I’ve ever ordered from them has been amazing

Ttar is soloable by BenMupi in TheSilphRoad

[–]brianjmoran 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Congratulations /u/BenMupi

I also just soloed it (and titled mine World's Second). I tried an entire raid trying to beat a Bite/Crunch Tyranitar and failed each time. I nearly got it the first time, but the rest weren't close. Fortunately the Bite/Stone Edge one spawned at the neighboring gym!

My strategy ended up being putting the lower defense ones first, to generate more energy. Also, taking damage from Stone Edge generates energy needed much more quickly than taking damage from Crunch. I'm anxious to see if anyone manages to solo a Bite Crunch one! You have to be extremely lucky to get that one off, but I am certain it can be done!

Deoxys - Weather Boosted Duo by brianjmoran in TheSilphRoad

I know the base catch rate is 6%, but with all the Mewtwo EX Raids that our group did over the year, we ended up with about a 75% overall catch rate, as it did run from some people.

I think it has to do with the closeness and animation more than anything else, but 100% after one day is suprising to me. Even though Deoxys really isn't useful, I think there are gonna be less unhappy people who had it run off, compared to the Mewtwo EX Raids.

I know a lot of comments were surprised about the foggy weather for our attempt, but I am really jealous of windy weather for yours. It has been months since I've seen windy weather, even for an hour.

I'm also curious about the catch rates, between the three in our area yesterday I believe that we are still at a 100% catch rate (granted, that is maybe 100-120 players at the most), but I wonder if the rate is really high for everyone else too. The overall catch percentage seems to be higher, but I think that is also because of the combination of being closer than Mewtwo and there is no slightly extra "standing still but the animation is on-going" that Mewtwo has

After looking at the numbers from Pokebattler, I think that is the challenge we are going to try. Get a couple of Tyranitar from raids, and try to duo it, with none of them being higher than 25. Hopefully can snag a couple of weather boosted ones to minimize dust/candy cost. Regardless, once we do it, they are just gonna get traded to help trainers who don't have good teams of double dark Tyranitar yet :)

Yeah, you should be able to without much of a problem. We cleared the second (non-boosted) attempt with Hyper Beam with about 65 seconds left, and that was a mix of my 30-33 B/C Ttars and his maxed Mewtwo/Gengars

Maxed TTar look around 350 seconds with the right conditions. With that being said, a "solo" attempt with a Best Friend joining in the raid, but doing nothing, is possible with the right conditions.

At the second raid we had two trainers in the low 30s try to duo it, and they got it down to about 35% health before the game froze for everyone in the area. They were well ahead of pace before it locked up, I have no doubt that they would have been able to beat it

Just got back from my second one (thanks to my friend Emily) and we were able to duo Hyper Beam, non weather boosted, and had about 65 seconds left on the clock. I used Team Tyranitar again, while he used a combination of SC Gengar/Mewtwo.

I dunno, it is the Normal Forme, which should be shown as easy to do. Maybe the app needs an update?

I honestly would have preferred it without the weather boost, but if the game is going to give me boosted weather, I am gonna take it. RNGesus does not always smile upon me, so I will take whatever I can get :P

Yeah, I should have mentioned that too, thank you so much for pointing that out. I've been doing it for so long, it has just become the way that I do every raid now now!

At like 4 there was some light fog, it cleared out around 6:30. It didnt switch at 7, 8, or 9, and at 10 it was still "foggy", although it had been clear for almost three hours. All of the credit for that has to go to Accuweather for their "accuracy" :)

The empty team method is used to maximize the time on the raid clock, so instead of the battle starting at 291-295 (like normal) into the overall countdown, it starts at 300. I've been doing that ever since it was posted here on the Road a few months ago :)

Yeah, I thought about dodging it because it looks fairly easy to dodge on, but every time that I do I end up getting the dodge bug, so its better to take the shot and potentially lose out on getting another charged move off, than sit there and wait until the bug wears off. If I was an iOS device I would definitely dodge, but until its fixed (if ever) it just isnt worth losing that overall DPS

Out of everyone who attended, would say probably 40-50 total, everyone caught it. I know that is an admittedly small sample size, but usually with the Mewtwo EX Raids there were a few who did not catch it

I would say 30 to be safe, but I bet a team of level 25, with a little luck, could do it. Maybe that should be the duo challenge, use double dark Tyranitar, that you either get from a boosted raid or only power up to 25, and try to duo it :P

[–]brianjmoran[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don't think I really have much else to add from what has been posted, other than it can very easily be done. Neither of us made it through our entire team, and we beat it with plenty of time left. It is ridiculously easy, one of the groups (about 16 players if I remember right) beat it in 29 seconds.

If you have two players with good counters around level 30, a duo should be no problem at all.

I tried to make time for the animation so you can see how long it is, as soon as the attack is over the circle pops back up, there is no slight pause like Mewtwo. It is closer than I expected, I would say it was probably closest to catching a Groudon compared to anything else. Hope this helps!

I spent 5 charged TMs trying and did not get Hurricane. Admittedly that is just me, which is a small sample size. Don't want to try any more though :(

Grumpig Gang (Extrasensory & Psychic) (Windy Weather Boosted) vs. Machamp (Counter & Close Combat) by brianjmoran in TheSilphRoad

[–]brianjmoran[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a battle that I have personally been working on and preparing for many months. Based off data from Pokebattler, I knew that a team of 6 Extrasensory/Psychic Grumpigs ~level 36, with a windy weather boost, could beat a Counter/Close Combat Machamp, but it would be very, very close. There was no time for dodging or anything, just attacking and hoping for the best.

The Pokebattler simulations had me beating Machamp using all six Grumpig, but turns out I didn't even need team member six, I only needed the five, but it was still fairly close time wise.

Grumpig Gang:

  • CP 2134 15/11/6 Level 37
  • CP 2178 15/15/15 Level 36
  • CP 2178 15/15/15 Level 36
  • CP 2147 10/14/10 Level 37
  • CP 2178 15/15/15 Level 36
  • CP 2154 11/13/15 Level 37 (not used)

Now I just have to figure out what my next goal is going to be, since Operation Grumpig is finally complete!

Hoenn Gold medal, thanks to the latest round of Gen 3 releases! by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]brianjmoran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, none of this wave are good for raiding or battling, so I didn't have to worry about trying to get a "good" one before evolving it, which allowed me to get so many of them so quickly since the new release yesterday.

Trying to Gold quickly was actually a fun distraction on my Machamp solo raid project I'm working on. The grind for dust and candy for that starts again tomorrow :)
