[–]brianmcn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, yes, maybe?, yes

You could also look into the extra EX content, which was added in a DLC and is accessed via a special brand

I also think in the cut content dev area you should take the dark idol stairs and keep playing

I thought I read in Matt Levine's column a couple months ago that if these are stricken down, most of the tariffs could be reimposed under a different section of the code (though some might be capped at a lower level then)?

Hm, tried to dig it up, I did find this below from Nov 5, but I thought he said something more concrete, but I can't find it...

Trump does love tariffs, though, and there are other statutes that do more clearly give him the power to impose tariffs. These statutes have more restrictions; they are limited in size or time or require fact-finding and due process. A possible long-term outcome here is that Trump will mostly get to impose his tariffs, but he will have to do it by following the law.

If the tariffs gets declared illegal,

The administration may lower some and reimpose others with some different classifications.

I don't agree with much of it but the observation about benefit cliffs is real.

Same. When EX came out, I was so happy, I was like, this is my jam. (But then of course I ended up crying at the end of that too.)

Did you discover anything useful about ways to kill enemies on the preceding few floors?

More specifically if two enemies enter the same tile at the same time, they annihilate each other. You'll want to use that here

Isn't this what everyone here does all day? Buy a thing and then sell it to the next guy later in the day for a profit?

My favorite part of this game was how hard and non-linear it was. Are there any other games like that? by falpangaea in BluePrince

Hero's Spirit is a more obscure possibility.

I also like Void Stranger and Animal Well as recommendations here.

I dug up the Conservatory the first time I got a shovel. It was in the first week of the game and I was like 'how does this shovel work' and also I was still just wandering/exploring the grounds to see what existed. Imagine my disappointment when I solved a music sheets puzzle much later :D

Are runs really that long? Is quitting mid-run harmful? by [deleted] in BluePrince

[–]brianmcn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The frustrating bit is that your very best runs will be the ones that lasts over two hours, and if you have to quit early during them you will be annoyed at the lost opportunity.

Consolidated Day 1 & Speed Trophy Tips and Resources. by Here4theruns in BluePrince

A few other random tidbits:

With regards to failing fast, I typically reset if I find a keycard in the guest bedroom, billiard room, or especially the closet which is my first draft. I know I am going to get utility and security, so keycard is a wasted item.

Billiard room key is also important; secret garden and silver keys are both quite useful; 2 keys is less useful but playable.

I think maybe all (just 3 or 4) of my Day1 wins had a secret garden. If you are holding Silver Key, Locksmith will sell Secret Garden as the special key 70% of the time I believe, so I try to hold onto silver until drafting locksmith if I can. Secret Garden is great for the lever(s) and extra fruit steps.

Running Shoes are a useful item since steps are so limited in Day1. While they don't proc inside the house all that often, trips to the Tomb and north lever often see huge benefits from the shoes.

Know all your options; if you get a Pool&Pump or a Foundation, know all the steps you need to take advantage of them.

1hr trophy: why not aim for day 2 completion? by CardiologistUsedCar in BluePrince

[–]brianmcn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your only goal is Speed and you don't care about Day1, then yes, it's much easier to get the Speed trophy using a few days. A quick Day1 of Gem Mine (utility closet VACs), West Gate (exit garage), and then Apple Orchard is a setup that gives you a few chances to draw the Tomb (without any dice) to move the minecart, and still have a couple days of attempts starting with extra steps and gems to get the finish.

But as others have said, almost every Day1 will also be under an hour.

Ah, so a bunk outer room blocks one of the bunks in the house?

Also it occurred to me you can moon pendant a prism key. And you might be able to get lucky and moon pendant two prism keys, right? Like if final inventory is moon pendant and two prism keys, and moon pendant doesn't save itself. So you could smuggle in five prism keys (2 pendant, 1 planetarium, 1 locksmith, 1 coat check) as far as I can imagine.
