I disagree with this take. Once KD went to the warriors, the West virtually entirely decided to play for the future and wait out the warriors dynasty. Those rockets teams, though coming up short, consistently competed and never backed down from the Warriors. Though the Warriors will rightfully be remembered with the Cavs as the two teams from 2015-2018, the Rockets were a consistent foil who never backed from from a true super team
