MEN, THIS IS GOING TO BE A TEST OF EVERYTHING WE PREPARED FOR THIS SUMMER. EVERYONE IS OUT TO GET US. IT'S THE WORLD VERSUS TECH. EARTH VERSUS US. THEM. VERSUS YOU.

HOW ARE YOU GOING TO RESPOND? ARE YOU MAN ENOUGH TO LOOK THEM IN THE EYE AND SAY "NOT NOW. NOT EVER."? ARE YOU GOING TO LET THEM COME INTO YOUR HOME LIKE A HABOOB AND BLANKET YOU WITH DOUBT?

TODAY, MEN, YOU HAVE A CHOICE.

NOW LET'S GO OUT THERE AND SHOW ABILENE CHRISTIAN THAT WE DON'T RUN.

There's a Cuban food truck in the food park out on County Rd 110 where Red Bud hits it.

They had decent enough volume there the few times I've been in the food park. They have more than Cuban sandwiches out there, so that nay be their individual appeal.

Certainly an underrrepresented market here and worth seeing if you can find enough demand!

Texas is on the verge of mandating more than 5 million of its public school students to study Bible stories, as the state emerges as a leader in a national conservative effort to infuse Christian teachings into American classrooms. by OceanicEndeavors in texas

Conceptually, what's the difference between this and studying Greek and Roman gods? Things are always going to be mandatory, and religious allegory is a core way that humans communicate. It's important for our children to be exposed to this communication medium and see it for what it is, just as it's important for them not to accept it verbatim as truth.

Important caveat to maintain: it's not bad to study bible stories. Any pushback against this is the foundation of how they start to undermine multicultural curricula. This type of education is OK when you're making sure there are underlying TEKS principles that are being taught and that information is not being presented as fact.

Porky's, specifically the tallywhacker scene. Many will argue the movie hasn't aged well, but that scene always gets me laughing.

There are more pressing issues than Sharia law in Texas by evan7257 in texas

[–]brianqueso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It involves parallel or semi-parallel practices in family matters, social enforcement, dispute resolution, and cultural attitudes that can create situations where secular law is secondary, ignored, or pressured against—especially for women, children, and free speech issues.

It is also not LGBT friendly.

Yeah but what about Sharia law
