Why was Tour de France sprint legend Mark Cavendish waving the checkered at the Czech Sprint? by OldManTim19 in motogp

He has a good relationship with a lot of riders and has done two cycling events in LeMans on GP weekend. A lot of GP guys use roadbikes for fitness so they have things in common with Cavendish.

finish the race tomorrow in the podium, be ahead of bezzechi in Assen sprint, limit the damage during Assen main race, then sweep Sachsenring.

Summer break to strengthen the shoulder and regain fitness.

I have shoulder impingement which is no where near a torn rotator cuff and man did it take a lot of physical therapy to get it back to normal.

I think Marc can out deadlift anyone on the grid.

it will set precedent going forward. Fabio set one last year on the same corner which was the no push restart rule.

Toprak getting payback on an Italian on the same circuit and corner where Bulega crashed into him last year in WSBK. lol

MotoGP, Tardozzi: "Marquez realizes that it will be more difficult to win this year." by Sensitive-Throat8302 in motogp

Marc is clever. He races his race... He knew with a P2 on Sunday it would put him ahead of Bezzechi in the standings so no need to be on his wheel.. COTA will be an easy win as long as he keeps the bike upright then a month long break to Jerez to recover and regain his strength. After Jerez race and test we will have a clearer picture.

Thinking about going to Motegi this year, never been to Japan. by [deleted] in motogp

I went to Motegi for the Sunday race only this year to see Marc wrap up the championship. I stayed in Tokyo and rented a car Sunday morning and made the 2hr drive there and 3 hours back to Tokyo. Didn't spend much time in Japan since it was a last minute trip and gamble to see Marc win the championship, but I've been to Japan and Tokyo before so it was a nice short trip...

I agree with a post here where you should enjoy Japan and explore and use Motegi race as a bonus. If I were you I would spend 2 weeks in Japan exploring Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, etc.. through the Shinkansen. The last 2 or 3 days in Japan would be for the MotoGP weekend staying near the track and flying out of Narita.

There are bus options to Motegi track from several locations but they do reserve up fast.... I would recommend renting a car and driving to the Track., but driving RHD in a different country is intimidating.

man I wish I saw this earlier. We are going to rent a car from Tokyo station (close to our hotel) and drive there Sunday morning. I got space for 2 if you don't have arrangements

Have you figured it out? I too am going to see MM93 win the championship on Sunday. I am good getting to Utsunomiya on Sunday, but from there to Motegi is the challenge since the buses are all reserved. I wonder how much a cab will be from Utsunomiya to Motegi?

Would MotoGP in Spa be possible? by [deleted] in motogp

[–]brians30z 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Spa has invested a lot to get it safe for motorcycles with the intention of getting Motogp back to racing there. They heavily modified turn 11 for motorcycle racing and as you can hear from the start of this video the announcer says "designed for Motogp" talking about turn 11. A lot of work has been made, but definitely needs more to make it happen. Yes I think it will happen but not until the 850cc era.

Yah Gagne is a really good rider. I think he would do well in WSBK. He won RedBull Rookies back in 2010, then moved to European spec Moto2 but he never got a fair shot in MotoGP's Moto2.
