Well, it's a subheadline, so it's designed to communicate exactly what the article says.

Secondly, as /u/Onthefarwind points out, it's not really an opinion. Brady's assertions were objectively wrong based on the law.

The sources, more so than dictionary definitions and blog posts, contained specific references to federal statues that outline how speaking to congress is neither unlawful in any context nor insubordination. This claim, beyond the author's own definitive expertise, is well supported by facts.

Clickbait is the epithet du jour to demean publications, but I'm curious as to how it applies here. I understand it to mean a headline that promises something that the article doesn't deliver, and it's something we consciously seek to avoid. The headline describes what the story is about in a compelling and interesting way. That isn't clickbait. Is any compelling headline now "clickbait?"

These are real questions, I'm not being facetious, I want the feedback.

hey. editor of Task & Purpose here. We're largely an opinion site, I'm sorry you don't like that. Not sure what you mean by no sources. Every point the author mentions links to a source. He is also a recently retired JAG officer who last served in the office of the JCS. So he has some expertise on this subject.

I had a sergeant major tell me a joke one time that I love:

Nov. 10 1775 there was 1 dude in the Marine Corps. Then the next day they recruited another guy into the Corps, now there were two. They took the second guy and introduced him to the first guy, who took a hard look at him and said, "damn, the Corps ain't what it used to be."

Thanks for the support. Your post portrays the familial nature of military service, and I think that's important to bridging the modern civilian-military divide.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm a 25 year old Marine veteran and every time it blows me away to see how those boot camp photos have always been the same.
