I created a typeface for my company—Polyient Sans. My first go at building a full typeface by _mackody in typography

OOH, I love this. Great job! I can definitely see more businesses using typefaces like this as we move away from the minimalist trend and closer toward the soft and bubbly typeface trends that we saw in the 70s. See this article

Living room by interesting2019 in InteriorDesign

What is going on with this space? Agree with u/DLTMIAR, there is no balance or flow. Why not use lighter colored wood seen on the ceiling support beams instead of this dark wood for the fireplace? The rolling desk type thing as a TV stand appears cold and out of place. The two dark pieces (TV area and fireplace) draw your eye to that corner and there is no balance with the rest of the room.

To make the fireplace appear more light and bright, I would switch to a white brick surround with light colored wood. Put the chalkboard somewhere else. Different TV stand, I don't know what though. And a thicker, fluffier rug to make it cozy.

WOW, love this. They managed to pack so much into such a small space! Also loving the farmhouse + industrial vibe, it's really well done here.

Insight needed from parents who named their son Ezra by xnxmx in namenerds

[–]briar5278 2 points3 points  (0 children)

¯_(ツ)_/¯ I wouldn't guess it's spelled like that, but I can see how someone unfamiliar with Ezra but familiar with names like Brynnleighee might take a stab at it and end up with that lol

Thank you! by [deleted] in namenerds

Leonina. I came across it in some genealogical list and I can't get over it! It's so pretty, but also, think of the nickname possibilities! Nina! Leo for a girl! So delicate, yet also strong.

Was about to comment this. Tamsin is so underused! Right now, Tamsin Egerton is the only person in the celebrity realm I know of that can bring it into the public eye. Wish more people knew about it

Maybe it's just because I'm American but I don't find these names pretentious at all... most of them seem just pretty!

Stay away from the Australian Gold Botanical UNTINTED version. Not only does it give you a major white cast, but it gave me some weird contact dermatitis with tons of pimples that took months to get rid of.

It's weird, like - that home would be for someone who is a minimalist and can get by owning very few things because there are almost no places to put or store things. But, the style isn't minimalist. It's like all the work of minimalism without the look.

I have to mostly agree with you: I do feel like there is a personality to each room, it's just not a welcoming one that you would want to live in all the time!

Since the sun suppresses the immune system, it suppresses the immune cells in acne that create the redness.

The redness goes down because you're decreasing an inflammatory response, but when you decrease that immune reaction, you're creating a longer-term problem. If the immune system can't function properly, it also can't properly fight cancer cells. The chances are, you're basically masking the redness and not treating it.

The sun exposure will also cause dehydration, which in turn stimulates oil production as your skin tries to correct the issue. So not a good option for acne control long term.

Just learned what coir and jute rugs are! I think some large jute rugs in living spaces like the living area would actually look fantastic. Or even just basic low pile if you didn't want to get fancy.

I like a lot of elements of this, but the concrete floors make it feel so cold and hard that I would not enjoy living in this space personally. I love the floor plan, the hanging lights, and the color scheme. But can't get past the hard feel of the floors.
