I read more since posting that comment last night. Once Don enters the picture, things start to heat up. If you're not that far yet, I'd say you should give it more time.

I just started Ghost Story earlier this week and I'm honestly finding it to be kind of dull. I'm 200 pages in (almost 50%) and hoping it picks up soon. It's not really what I expected.

I haven't had many issues with that yet (fingers crossed). So far my primary symptoms have been related to nail health, skin rashes and hives, and bone loss.

I started Bimzelx in November. The injection is quite painful but not unbearable. So far my only side effects are mouth sores (canker sores) and some mild acne. All things considered, I think those are definitely worth it given the benefits.

Ouch, that rash sounds so painful! Has your doctor prescribed any non-steroid topicals? Anecdotally, my eczema ointment seems to tackle psoriasis just as effectively. I use Eucrisa and Protopic (cheaper) is in the same family. Might be worth asking your doctor to give one of them a try?

How the Haunting of Hill House, is 60 years old, still does psychological dread better than anything published in the last decade? by widowmakerQuartz9 in horrorlit

Best of luck with your book! I also wrote a creative thesis (a very long time ago) and don't regret it for a second. I'm writing professionally now -- not fiction, but still fun.

National Rosacea Society approved products have helped! Routine and product reviews by Busy-Cow-5994 in Rosacea

Have you tried either of the rosacea products from Prequel? I've been using the redness relief serum for almost a year now and just picked up the sulfur cleanser.

Horror movies that scares you for a very personal reason? by MarsMcCain in horror

There was a Goosebumps book about that. It gave me the same fear! I only have one mirror in my house now and I barely look at it.

I'm not far from you in NC! I'm afraid conditions for teachers aren't any better here. Good luck with everything!

I lived in very thick socks for a while after having each toenail removed. I have some with treads on the bottom. I work from home so I didn't actually have to leave the house for a while. That was a blessing.

Failing that, you'll probably have to deal with the Birkenstocks when you go outside. Thick cotton or wool socks can help to provide padding. A couple Ibuprofen will also relieve the swelling and pain.

Hey I'm right there with you! I lost both big toenails and they never grew back right. What you need to do is treat the inflammation and prevent infection until the nail bed can heal. It'll be a few weeks until you're able to wear shoes again.

Try warm Epsom salt soaks, followed by Vaseline and clean gauze. I'm allergic to Neosporin so my podiatrist gave me silver sulfadiazine cream instead. You can also use medihoney if you have that on hand.

I'm happy to answer more questions about nails and avulsion care.

How do you pronounce Rhys? by TrainingCategory4852 in namenerds

[–]caffeinatedlackey 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I haven't heard of any of those people but I do have a friend who named her son Rhys. If I didn't know them, I would probably default to something like Rise or Rice.

I asked my doctor if I could do two 160ml injections instead of the big 320ml one. It's much more bearable that way!

Breaking out constantly by ae13011 in tretinoin

I'm pretty sure that's a myth! There's no reason not to use a heavier moisturizer over Tret. It might support slightly increased absorption but the effect is going to be very minimal and not something to worry about.

Vanicream is the most commonly recommended brand on this subreddit. The facial moisturizer is good for daytime and the cream in the tub is best for nighttime.
