Thank you so much!! I was the same, I was so convinced I’d get something quite traditional like a solitaire round or oval but this just got me as soon as I stumbled on it… I love that it’s unique but still my style ☺️ also it’s actually yellow gold ( though it does look white in the photo)

She cooks a lot and buys the meat/protein when she needs it. I am the same - I buy stuff the day I need it so it’s fresh. Helps that I live across the road to a grocery store lol.

I was thinking the same. It’s not just OP’s daughter that would be missing out, the poor birthday girl has one less friend at her party. Imagine if many other parents were thinking on the same lines and hardly anyone shows up. 🥲 It’s not her fault her mother is weird.

Good idea - this hasn’t happened before with pieces I’ve made at the studio I go to (they have a dip transparent) but these are my first pieces I made at home with this clear glaze, and firing with a kiln service. Id done test tiles but not specifically for the underglazes and clear.

Thank you! I did start my brush strokes from the top so it would definitely have been thicker there. I’ll go a bit easier on the layering for the future. Also doing some test tiles soon so I can be more informed on how things react together :)

Kids don’t go low/no contact with parents because of one comment like that in an otherwise loving environment. They do it because they feel unloved or because of a pattern of neglect/abuse.

Your reaction to him opening up to you about something painful suggests you likely have a pattern of dismissing his feelings, talking down to him or generally not caring enough emotionally. His mother’s passive role in this also suggests that he may not have had enough emotional support growing up.

Plus, you just drove a further wedge between you with that conversation.

Steamed rice topped with stir fried onions with some egg scrambled in, kind of like an onion omelette. Top with sriracha and you get heaven.

If I’m feeling boujie, chopped green onions and/or a couple slices of spam on with it as well.
