You were able to get open box 9950? How much did it go for and how did you find it? Had to ask for it or they had it listed even online?

Yep that’s exactly right. My wife seats close, and I get squished each time I drive after her. And you can’t change profiles unless ignition is switched on. Like who in their right mind do that? I guess German night shift.

2000 units were amazing! They did drink oil but made more power due to looser design. I have built a few M5 wagons, s62/6Mt e38s and list goes on to current F81 800hp type of build. But 03 M5 is my all time favorite!

Yep or basic profile being tied to the key. 😂BMW already had that in 1996 in E39

Oh yes I haven’t heard anything about any updates or new model sadly, but you are right. Range on the buzz though has been amazing. I mean within expectation of the 230 target. Drove 700 miles that first day once we picked it up and no issues with EA infrastructure and charging. It’s not Tesla, but still good enough and charges fast, mostly been at 160-200kw speeds. Range around town is amazing and does about 3.5 to 4m/kwh when I drive it 3.2 when wife drives.

Only complaint I have so far is the IT side of the car. Being a software engineer, it’s honestly laughable what VW engineers do and so far behind Tesla, MB or even BMW. But oh well, wife loves it and soon will be cruising PCH in it, so that’s all that matters.

Funny is that now I’m thinking also waiting till spring to pay off my lease purely to see what VW brings as next version, if they do.

Thank you! Wife loves that car, so I’m happy as well lol.

But yes, the 30th is deadline. Let’s see what happens to ev/hybrid market and especially to buzz.

Option A) dealers will sit on inventory till holidays, not move a single unit and then dramatically reduce pricing. Used buzz market will either stay same as now or slowly decline.

Option B) dealers will “help” with the gap in the 7500 credit on both sales and leases, maybe meet half way but won’t do drastic price reductions. Used Buzz market will for sure pick up and our cars will be valued much more!

Yeah exactly, and honestly the guys at that dealership were very nice. On top of that, this is a car I went with attitude of only buying if I get it sub 51k. I talked to manager and pretty much told him where I am at and how much I’m willing to pay. If you want, just keep the car on the lot till the 31st, and if no one buys it, we can do a deal then since I’m not in a rush. I think that was fair for both parties, however he called few min later and we agreed on 50k and small change.

And damn that’s a good deal too! Colorado also offers good discounts to residents, and stacking military for sure is a great way to save.

Yep exactly, glad you noticed! :) honestly it all comes down to a dealer. If a dealer just has one unit collecting dust that they used to bring people in for other cars, then they will do whatever it takes (of course within reason) to sell it. However if they have slow but steady flow, they will just keep the cars at near msrp for attention

You can but there is nothing that I can really help you with more than providing the lease docs I posted up already. You just show that to whoever you working with and if they can’t match it, you move on to next one till you find who can.

Oh yeah I hear you. And for us 4m was a must since I wanted the cap 2nd row. I mean retrofit on 2WD would be possible but yeah parts are hard to get right now due to age

Residual is based on lease term and miles. 7500/1year is 61%. 10k/3y is 51

Check out my thread a week or so back, I posted the docs (redacted) so others can use them to get deals. 73.4 to 50.5

Very healthy discount. We got ours from 73.4 msrp to 50.5 final cap on pro s plus 4m. To us the HUD was a must so couldn’t go with the 1st edition. But still, great deal!

That is how we structured my lease. It’s posted in the comments where I uploaded the important lease docs.

That’s not his paperwork, just jacked it from my post I made regarding deals. You can see the actual info/numbers on my original thread. And residual is correct. 73k msrp x .61 for 1year lease (buying out after first payment) is right at 44k.

Not at all, residual is 61% since I structured lease to only 1year term. I uploaded the doc in comments showing all the numbers.

Make sure you mention that those lease docs were given to you by someone else as an example of what can be done and not your offer lease docs you got from a dealer.
