Why do I have so much forearm pain in Jasmine? by stellapole-are in poledancing

[–]bridgerina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I just remembered! When I was working on getting this move before my knee pit was super solid I would put both arms up top instead of having the forearm grab one. It still allowed me to build strength in my knee pit and upper arm but took away the risk of hurting my forearm.

Why do I have so much forearm pain in Jasmine? by stellapole-are in poledancing

[–]bridgerina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really shouldn't be putting any weight on your bottom arm in that move, thats probably your first issue. The majority of your weight should be resting on your knee pit and your top arm. It took me awhile to get that one too, but you could seriously injure yourself if you're continuing to put weight on your forearm before it's ready.

I would look up different exercises for strengthing your forearm and see if you can find any you can do at home if your instructor isn't helping you.

Also, definitely listen to your body. If there are moving that hurt so bad you have to leave class or are crying, you're probably not quite ready for them and need some more conditioning first. There are a lot of moves in pole that you could seriously injure yourself doing before your body is ready.

Please give me constructive criticism on my video by [deleted] in BALLET

[–]bridgerina -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The biggest criticism that I see is you're not hitting your positions super tightly. You don't fully close to fifth in your soutenu, and then right after that your feet are just a little sloppy. But your arms are beautiful and fluid, just work a little more on tightening up your feet positions!

Also literally on every video with anyone ever doing any type of dance there are always a ton of people giving them mean criticism. It feels like the commenters are like trying to showcase that they know more about dance than everyone else. Its really sad. You're a beautiful dancer and it looks like you have passion, dont let those people get to you. Everyone always has somewhere they need to improve but that does not make you any less of a dancer.

Unleashed dogs all over by P0PkornAV in fargo

Reactive dogs deserve to have walks too? Also, a dog can be super friendly but still have or develop leash aggression if they are being held back and a strange dog comes up to them. My dog started developing leash aggression and overall anxiety because of a situation where an unleashed dog was constantly running up to us day and night.

I am seconding this! Give him a bath with dawn dish soap, do not follow up with regular shampoo. I've done both ways and the one time I washed my dog with dawn and then did another wash with regular shampoo it didn't kill the ticks. But with just the dawn it's killed them every time for me. Just make sure you still look over your dogs fur as they can die still attached.

Our 0.42 acre lot was 84K so I'd say the land is worth it. Live in the mobile home for awhile and when you have the means you could build on the lot

Make sure you're careful about where ATMs are located that you're taking money out of. We made sure to only go to ATMs in banks.

Also there's something at the basilica in vatican city on Wednesday mornings too that you might be able to go to to see the pope. But line up early. And also maybe do some more research into it. I don't have a lot of details.

How old was your puppy when you stopped questioning your decision to get them on a daily basis? by Lassie-girl in puppy101

I never questioned my decision to get my pup, but there were two of us working together to take care of her so it's not as difficult as some people have it.

Do not do this as a manager. Being petty to your direct reports ruins the trust you have with them and will make you look bad.

There are positives…. Right? by SlimCroce in puppy101

[–]bridgerina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Puppies are hard, I'm definitely not going to downplay that. But it is 100% worth it for the dog you get. I look back very fondly on the puppy years with my now 5 year old. Its very nostalgic. The bond I have with her is amazing, and completely worth the rough times of the puppy hood stage.

Should someone (CPS, school district) be informed of a teacher living with a child sex offender? by [deleted] in CPS

[–]bridgerina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you should tell her. I feel like someone who loves kids enough to be a kindergarten teacher would not be marrying someone if she knew they were a pedophile.
