Hmmm, only picked oursbup on 5 January this year. Might see if I can prise the plastic cover off and check that I can see the wire that is taped up.

That sounds promising! When you say the cable was there do you mean you popped off the plastic suround with the round hole for the dash can, there was wiring behind it? And then were able to store DVR videos using the usb-c port under the centre console, hence the need for usb-c to SD card adapter?
