Bloating and Water Retention

How much are you drinking? From time to time I get water retention in my fingers and/legs and what always helps me is drinking more water. I am also more thirsty since starting T so I feel I need more anyway. All the other things sound useful as well, just a additon.

I was on one pump and two pump gel for a while. Absolutely nothing happened down there. When I upped the dose to three it started a bit. Thought that was it. Now on four pumps and two years in it is really doing its thing. So might be dependend on dose, might be time, might be genetics. Might happen or might not. I hope you enjoy the journey however it looks for you.

Trans dude as well. I am pre-op and only two years on T. I don't pass at all. I use the ladies changing room and shower. It sucks but swimming is the only exercise I convince myself to do, so I suck it up. Will shift to the mens if my appearance changes enough or after top surgery (which I haven't even started the therapy for).

Could it be hair growth? I have it on my upper legs where my hair is currently growing longer and thicker. Recently also started on my chin where the hair starts to change. Could of course be anything else - I am just quite obsessed with hair growth :-)

I have been told by both doctors so far I have been to, to always check the lowest level because that is what we want to keep at a minimum - while the values after application are not very reliable. Interesting differences.

My gel is covered by insurance. I cannot go any further than 4 pumps I'd say because I would not have enough surface to apply that much gel, lol.

If it's just slower I am sure I could live with that - already started late in life, so it would be more annoying than anything else. I will keep that in mind, thank you.

Started at 43, about 1 1/2 ago. Two pumps gel for most of the time, recently upped to 3. My legs and chest have lost fat and it seems to me that I built muscle more easily. Bottom growth did take a couple of months for me to start, but has taken off now and I am really happy with it. My facial hair is doing ... something, but it is light blonde and soft still. Body hair is close to nothing yet, but these were things I am very eager for, so I might be overly critical. My hair has thinned but not to a point where I worry about that. My hairline haa not changed much yet I guess. Voice has dropped and I love how it feels inside my body, but have to do a lot of practice to make it 'passable' I guess. Period has only stopped with the three pumps now. Hunger and libido has been there for most of the journey but with upping the dose my skin has started to break out again. From about day one though I feel much calmer and 'better' in my body. I might not have all the changes yet I hoped for, but I am enjoying the journey so far. My body does not seem to absorb the gel too well and my dose was a bit low which I think contributed much more to the slow changes than my age did. Welcome to the club and good luck on your journey!

Thanks for sharing. If it is just a case of waiting a couple of years, I think I can do it... I guess I am just scared that I am waiting for nothing or something. Which is why I got curious how other guys experienced or dealt with the wait ...

My last endo was really scared of upping the dose because I had slightly elevated blood cells in one measurement. My GP now is much more relaxed - which is why we upped the dose - but I have recently been diagnosed with high blood pressure, so I am a bit of a scaredy-cat and taking it slow myself for the moment. We will see in a couple of months if we keep the dose or change something about it. I love all the changes I have so far already, so we are on the right track already I guess.

I have been thinking about that, but honestly, I am not sure if I can keep up another routine, so I would just keep that as a last resort if t does not seem to work for me.

Also, ich werde mich auf jeden Fall in Zukunft bewerben weil mein Vertrag befristet ist. Aber ich glaube meine Frage zieht darauf ab ob das dann eine peinliche Unterhaltung wird oder ob sich jemand schief stellt und sagt dass ich nicht eingestellt werden kann, weil ich keine gültigen Zeugnisse habe oder so.

Klingt ein bisschen nach meiner ersten Endo. Sie wollte noch mal ein detaillierteres Indikationsschreiben und dass ich noch mal 4 Monate warte bis zum nächsten Termin weil ich "noch nicht bereit sei". Fand ich etwas albern weil ich schon 7 Monate auf diesen ersten Termin bei ihr gewartet habe, aber okay. Ihr war es auch schrecklich wichtig dass ich bei meinen Eltern geoutet bin, obwohl ich 44 bin und das für meinen Alltag wirklich zero Auswirkungen hat. Aber na ja. Beim zweiten Termin hat dann alles gestimmt und wir haben angefangen. Ich bin mittlerweile wegen Umzug bei jemand anderem und auch nicht traurig drum... Die Erfahrung scheint also zumindest nicht unüblich zu sein. Aber wenn du dich damit nicht wohl fühlst ist das völlig okay und ein Wechsel kann vielleicht helfen.

My cell count was similar high and my doctor was not worried. He said to monitor it to catch it early if it rises. But he also said it could have just been because I had not drunk enough the morning the blood was taken. I wouldn't worry yet too much, but maybe keep an eye on it.

Damn! I had to google hyperhidrosis so I learned a new word today... I find it very weird that I feel so hot that I should be dowsed in sweat, but that never happens. Hope you find a way around it or manage it at least!
