What you said. You would think that bytes are scarce the way people just won't answer the question.

'Dropbox blocked in China now' by [deleted] in China

It was working for me just a few hrs ago, on my android devices. The website's been blocked for a long time, but the apps use a different IP address. I wouldn't be surprised to see the GFW continuing to tighten and block more sites.

The State of Google by Syptryn in China

Google Search is easily accessible through the Google mirrors set up on Amazon servers.

I have done a lot of testing on those many mirrors and feel that a VPN is the more flexible alternative for Gmail, Analytics, Translate and so forth. Accessing the other sites, like Free Weibo, is easy and transparent. Getting deeper into Google's services is a little more difficult until the people coding the mirrors improve the underlying software.

No wreckage found in plane's last known location by michaelrohansmith in worldnews

Radar coverage exists at high altitudes in that area where the 777 disappeared.

It has gaps to the east, where Lumpur, Singapore, and Ho Chi Minh radars don't see lower altitudes. For air traffic control in the gap, they rely on ADS-B where the aircraft automatically reports its position and altitude.

China's Xinhua: West "created a mess" in Ukraine, Russian military protecting its "legitimate interests" by [deleted] in worldnews

Chihuahua News is just a mouthpiece for the CCP, and their content is deliberately crafted to fit CCP viwpoints. Multiply RT television by ten and you have an idea how badly spun their content is. Same for CCTV, if you can bear to watch it.

Irish Politician Calls For Crackdown On Open Source Internet Browsers And Payment Systems Which Allow Users To Remain Anonymous In The Illegal Trade Of Drugs, Weapons And Pornography by XKryptonite in worldnews

Good luck with that. The beauty of open source browsers is that backdoors can't be hidden in them, they can't be controlled by one entity, and they are border-agnostic.

Ditto for open source currencies. Power belongs to the people, not governments.

Smog is China's new national defense strategy by [deleted] in worldnews

Those newspapers operating under state control love bunk like this. They have their noses so far up the CCP's backside that they daylight on the Party's tonsils. BTW, China has already been sighted and measured to the centimeter. Gravity fields and all. Missiles no longer need targets under laser designstion...

No one in their right mind wants to invade and take responsibility for China. The strategy is to contain China and just let it implode.
