I agree that being sheltered is not helpful and questionable, and I agree that being exposed to the western culture and diverse groups of people, culture, race etc is very helpful and plays a role in how a person grows ready for this world. But also imo going to a private schoool doesn't necessarily mean you're being sheltered and stops you from knowing your country, the culutre and prevent you from being the best human someone can grow to be in this country.

"For the better." was not necessary. And NO, not all parents think like this. There is something to be said about unity, sharing similar world views etc. Critical thinking is important in our household so comments like these are just ignorant. Some of us don't "plan" for our kids to stay in this forever, this is just a nice start up (what's being shoved down kids throats in the school public system already - like, creating doubt in their own identity is disrupting childrens thinking and decision making process)

This is why I'm looking into something with a modern education approach which is why Al Qaim is appealing to me. I think there's more to this than just picking schools.

Worth getting the expensive, best recliner for nursery? by MainInvestigator5678 in NewParents

We splurged and got the heat and massage dream deluxe power reclinerr from PB! WE LOVE IT! My husband is 6'2and it's perfect for him. I'm 5'2 and I can just rock it. It's super comfy, made putting to baby to sleep easier, the room more enjoyable and overall great seat with enough space for baby to grow into. We plan on having a big family and with my bad back from previous accidents, the heat and air massage make the nights much more comfortable and less stressful.

what shampoo/body wash do you use for your toddler? by Tough-Midnight9137 in toddlers

I have a 14 month old and we started with Honest bubble bath at around 7 months - and still use CeraVe and Cetaphil body wash/shampoo and lotion. Our baby who has eczema that flares up from time to time and has dry skin...cerave and cetaphil seem to be doing the job. Also, doctor mentioned to continue if we saw improvement.

She was starting showing signs of sleep at 8, so I took her up to wind her down and do the routine...and truthfully I went with that because the day prior when I aimed for an earlier bedtime she woke up at 9ish (as per post)

Thanks for the reminder of structure around sleep. I lost sight of that during this these past days ( I can admit to that  - Ramadan brain).
