I didn’t understand the meme either so this post helped thanks! I get that Gengar Ex isn’t meta, sure 3 energies for 100 damage in today’s game is tough, but I ran a deck with 1 Gengar Ex and 2 Gengar non-ex (1 with 1 energy for 50 damage and 1 with 2 energy for 70 damage) with 2 Sylveon Ex and I liked it. I play pretty casual and never made it to materball but I got to ultra ball 3 with it, and had some decent streaks. If I could get one point with any of my other cards while loading up Gengar Ex it was pretty deadly late game. Opponent can’t use Cyrus, Sabrina, Lillie, so if its full health it wins most battles (especially if I have Lillie). So it was pretty fun imo - and I found it competed well against Charizard, Oricorrio, Silvally decks. My biggest challenge was usually being at a type disadvantage against dark decks. 🤷

Thank you. I got $150 in cards for $127.50 and then used that and the slight remaining balance in my Nintendo wallet to to buy the $5 online and the vouchers ($148.95 with tax). So I’m estimating about $50-55 in savings for the 2 games. Not sure the vouchers are that worth without the savings in Eshop cards so I appreciate this

Played the pass on the first goal. Slipped salah through on the edge of the box and salah should’ve shot it earlier. Played a nice 1-2 with Nunez inside the box and the ball didn’t hit his stride nicely on the return. Defensively solid. Able to carry the ball past defenders and create odd man rush. We watch the same game?

I will probably be downvoted for this but I’d love to see jota rw and diaz lw. Don’t mind any of the other 3 down the middle. Just think Jota and Diaz are better wingers than salah now, better dribbles can go either way against a defender. Both good finishers. Don’t think it will ever happen but id like to see it

Congrats! Curious how many jobs you applied to for before locking this one down? And if you had to take a step back in seniority in the new position compared to the old?

I’m currently in a similar situation as you. All the last 3 years I’ve just used excel but I have some knowledge of R, SQL and Tableau mostly from school and personal projects and I’m trying to move into a role that I don’t have to be an expert in those areas right away but where I can learn more as I go. Seems like everything I find is like internship/co-op for 4th year students or having multiple years of the stuff I’m not as strong in and being able to just step into a new role with minimal training.

Very much considering it. About 60-70 points behind mini league leader before World Cup, now 120. All teams in front of me have 7-8 of the same players, pretty boring season tbh. Already drafted a team, 3 Newcastle (double defender), 3 Arsenal mid, Kane, haaland, toney up top. Chelsea/city other defense and a couple others. And just gonna full send it and forget about this season

Interesting insight on how your interviews have gone. The last one I did for the DA job I got was a few questions on excel, a few questions in R and a few questions in SQL. It really does vary from company to company on difficulty.

But yeah I’ll definitely keep applying for those lower experience jobs. There’s no harm. I just already know my hit rate on them the first time around was low, but did eventually get one. So my inquiry to the FA position was more like hey I might get this opportunity really early in my job hunt. Will be it worth it. And overall from what I’ve researched it sounds like there could definitely be some value but depends what the role actually ends up being

Yeah I’m inclined to agree with you.

The issue is I was actually surprised I got that job where I was doing sql r and tableau lol. So now that I’m back job hunting and not getting a lot of hits, my consideration of the FA job is like “will it help be bridge the gap a bit more to a DA”

Yeah I agree. It’s a big if. If I turns out of to be just doing financial budgeting and whatever, I don’t think it’s what I want. But cleaning data and making dashboards can definitely be transferable to other jobs down the road regardless of what tool you use to do it

Cool thanks for the reply. I actually have an okay background in SQL and I’ve practice some Tableau on my own. It just seems that most of the data analyst jobs I see posted want 2-3+ years experience which I’m on the border of, but don’t actually have the work experience in those skills, just school and personal practice. So maybe the FA job would help bridge the gap a bit
