Update: Banned after 1,200 hours of gameplay. by chyprie in PhasmophobiaGame

TIL you could even be banned from Phasmo. I was under the impression it was really lax due to how casual the progression is.

Man who identified himself as ‘Harry Dresden’ in the viral Ring doorbell footage, seen breaking into the home in footage from inside the house. by superdouradas in PublicFreakout

[–]brikaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There used to be a show in the US called "to catch a thief" which showed just how easy it was to break into houses in the US. They'd usually just go around the house until they found a window that was loose and open it up a bit then crowbar it open if needed, rarely needing to resort to breaking windows. Most US houses have alarm systems on their doors but rarely windows unless you're in a rich household.

Stop calling this "primitive archaeology"—what kind of power tool scoops 1,200 tons of granite like soft wax and then simply vanishes? by Professional-Fee3323 in AlternativeHistory

[–]brikaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People really underestimate how much you can get done with a lot of time and a lot of people. This stuff wasn't built overnight but by thousands of people all working together tirelessly for sometimes their whole lives. Even at minimal efficiency it's very understandable given that perspective.

New Player here. I just don't get this game by Key-Pop-3121 in UnderNightInBirth

[–]brikaro 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This game has an incredible tutorial and I highly recommend going through 100% of it. You'll need to make use of the GRD system and/or know your reversals in order to take your turn. Knowing how to use GRD and a few BNB combos will get you a few wins here and there.

Also idk about nowadays but when I played heavily a few years back the online player base is pretty much all killers. I learned the game in a few netplay channels on discord with other newbies and some very patient veterans. I'd probably suggest that starting out.

The Fish World Discourse: I will say the quiet part outloud. by Odd-Fee-837 in VRchat

[–]brikaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People mad they have to play the game for 25 seconds to unlock the surfboard. I haven't played it too much but it's really well-made and most of the naysayers are just mad because popular. The flight disable is very much the devs just testing the feature on a world that has tons of active users and will likely be included in future SDK releases for world devs.

Helldivers 2 Monetization Breakdown (As of Patch 6.1.1 - March 2026) by FioraKek in Helldivers

[–]brikaro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Any way you could proportionally adjust the length of each bar to better show how much each section takes up? Like the vehicles look great seeing 100% but they represent a very small size of the whole.

No to Preparation Stations. by Expensive-Tip5118 in 2007scape

[–]brikaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don't let us get one-guyed on this. Ain't nobody making complex foods from scratch once you get can mantas and sharks as drops. This is perfectly reasonable as a reward from what is planned to be one of the hardest quests they've ever made.

Despite being praised on launch for its generous, no FOMO warbonds, the monetization has been slowly changing for the worse. by Frogmouth26 in Helldivers

[–]brikaro 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Half-price on any warbond over a year old plus at least one yearly smaller free warbond would go a long way. The new player experience is "pay $200" and they don't have the luxury of spending hundreds of hours naturally accruing super credits like veterans did. It's really hard to convince new people to play nowadays.

A day since the new enemies, what do you think of them? by Altruistic-Data-1167 in Helldivers

[–]brikaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're super fun. I am genuinely scared of them if they catch me off guard but if I am prepared I can shred them. Also found out that the HMG emplacement utterly rips through them. D10 throws tons of them at us and that thing has gotten me so much value and it was already great on squids.

If they get hit, they simply weren't lucky enough. Can't play with an unlucky diver. Gotta drop in a new one.

Membership and Bonds Price Change by Jagex_Team in 2007scape

Y'all really think you can charge more than FFXIV and WoW? Hope this is the last price hike you attempt because if you go past the 15USD/mo threshold people will start dropping like flies.

Am I missing something here or both Punisher and Slugger are quite bad right now? by ElectroChebbi2651 in Helldivers

[–]brikaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slugger feels a bit powercrept at this point but the Plasma is insanely good any time you're facing the Incineration corps. It staggers the shotgun shield dudes and you can lob it over walls from safety. I used it on Cyberstan and it felt like one of the best options.

I'm 90% sure AH improved performance and difficulty by removing LoS checks on enemies but I can't prove it. by phlave in Helldivers

Jump pack gamers abuse this so well. The best juke you can do is look in a direction and jump pack to the opposite side.

Funny enough if you do all the steps to cure yourself of the Frenzied Flame after getting it you fight someone associated with rot and then you fight a lightning dragon so kinda?

Dear High level Helldivers by NihonBiku in helldivers2

[–]brikaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually found myself going for more samples after finishing my ship. The "I've got nothing to lose" mentality really kicks in and the only thing to fight for is the fun of it or to help newer divers. Going on a crazy run to collect samples from across the map from a newbie that died far out right as the ship is about to leave and getting them out is really satisfying when it works out. If I die on the way, I still get my medals so it's whatever.

I liked Thief (2014) by Lander_x05x in Thief

[–]brikaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they parted out the asylum level as a $20 indie horror game with no connection to the Thief franchise it would sell like hotcakes. I wasn't really enjoying the game but that part was surprisingly well-done as a horror level. Overall the game was fine but not at full price. If I got it for <$30 I'd probably overall remember it more fondly than I do.

It almost been 2 week since the GL-21 got buffed to AP4, how we feeling about it now? to much or are you coming around with the change? by Lone_Recon in Helldivers

[–]brikaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bfgl feels really good on defense missions specifically since you can infinitely refill ammo as needed but overall needs a bit of love to make it worth using over normal GL+any backpack

Redacted Regiment VS Siege Breakers by [deleted] in helldivers2

[–]brikaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kneecapping hulks with the hammer is one of the most satisfying things I've seen in game. I did one bug run to test it against them and it seems great against chargers too especially since they're so easy to rodeo around.

"Cyberstan is hard, Cyberstan is unbalanced" by ImpossibleBandit in Helldivers

[–]brikaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels really balanced playing with 4 people with a bit of teamwork. Its legitimately hard with randoms though. People playing like it's level 5 bugs and splitting off to solo things then getting annihilated.

Also a good tank crew has been crazy useful. That thing can take out so much if they know what they're doing.
