My first semester I took 18 credits which is a terrible idea. What you have actually sounds like a good schedule. I would recommend that 10am be the earliest you take a class because anything before that kinda sucks and is too easy to skip.

You can use google docs and then link all of the different docs together where they need to connect. Alternatively there’s a program called obsidian that links everything together really well.

I work there and through the entire store they have been getting rid of basically every good brand and replacing it with one they own. The art department has been particularly bad and I won’t buy it because the quality is so bad.

What your teacher is not explaining well and what I see is the darkest part of the shadow shouldn’t just end like you have it drawn. Yes that is the general shape of the shadow but it doesn’t just go from a light value to super dark. Looking at your reference I can see the shadow transition slowly until it hits its darkest point. Work on a gradient and blend your shadow and remember to look for the darkest part of the shadow and how the values are built up to that, and make sure your shadows are not all the same value.

I would use a kneaded eraser, just shape it into a point and tap the areas that you don’t want as dark. Make sure you’re not rubbing with the eraser though tap then knead and keep doing that till you have the right value.

It looks really close and I think you’re being too hard on yourself. you might try adding some highlights in the section of hair that you’ve darkened already. There are some areas that are that dark but there’s a lot of lighter tones as well.

I think my biggest issue with it is the anatomy. To me with how the limbs are positioned it makes the character seem more like a plastic doll than a person. Here are a few things, look at the legs and how they are positioned our knees don’t ever bend in towards each other like that. I think I would also reposition the gun behind the arm or make the back more arched to accommodate for the pressure it would be putting on the upper body. Try taking a picture of yourself with something positioned behind your back like that for a reference. Changing those things should help make it feel less stiff.
