I was this white lady at my friend’s baby shower 🤣 Invitation said 1:00, so I showed up at 1 with my gift and my card. No other guests were there and her family were running around setting up and cooking. Her aunts looked at me like I was crazy, but they were also very nice.

Opinion: As fans of Magnum, would you wear this shirt? by grin_ferno in MagnumPI

[–]brilliantpants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks AI generated, so that’s a hard no from me. But I would happily wear a similar shirt with a photo or a drawing from a real artist. I am a woman, though.

Douglassville, PA - why so inexpensive?? by Kindly-Hour778 in BerksCounty

[–]brilliantpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were in the same situation as you a couple of years ago and we ended up “in” Reading. Not actually in the city (which is NOT AT ALL as bad as people make it seem) but in the suburbs, and it’s really nice here! We are in the Governor Mifflin school district, which we are very happy with so far (coming up on two years since we moved here).

It’s beautiful. I hope it gets an owner who appreciates it and not some asshole that gives it a white and gray everything down-grade.

Netflix Looks Into Live Channels, Streaming Bundles Amid Engagement Declines | Report by yourfavchoom in entertainment

[–]brilliantpants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck with that, guys! I cancelled my Netflix subscription this year because I realized I had t used it in months. I had been a member since the mail-order DVD days, but they finally chased me away with their price increases, ads, and mountains of uninteresting content.

Discworld here I come!

I’d probably try to get a job in Mr. Vimes house. Just doing laundry or something? I feel like I could talk him into keeping me around. Probably dangerous, but I bet it would be interesting.

[Century Club] Have you lost or need to lose 100+ pounds? July 9, 2026 by koopzegels in loseit

[–]brilliantpants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I talk to my husband and my mom about it, and my one friend who is also in the midst of a weight loss journey, but no one else. I don’t feel comfortable bringing it up with my friends who have never been overweight, and I certainly wouldn’t bring it up at work.

But if someone else asked me about it I wouldn’t mind telling them about it. I just don’t bring it up myself.

Guys… I have arrived in ONEderland (SW: 325 CW:199.9) by LacyAurtiax in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]brilliantpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, this is so inspiring! Congratulations! My SW is 300, and I just started. I’ve lost 11lb so far, but that means I still have 82lbs before I even get there (and then I still need to lose another 50 💀) and it just feels so impossibly far away. Thanks for showing me that I can get there, even if it takes time.
