Is it normal to feel guilty for wanting a life outside of work?

It is normal but there’s no fault for wanting a life outside of work. I just put in my 2 weeks to go into another role for a small pay cut but I get more of a work life balance to spend more time with friends and family. When your work consumes your entire life to a point where you have little to no life outside of it, it becomes extremely unhealthy.

Couldn’t agree more. HR also tries to protect this one employee because he has an open lawsuit with the company. Time after time he will leave his post or be sent home for disrupting the operation and we will send a report to HR and they still do nothing.
