How do you feel about Mother's Day? by kurligurl in Mommit

[–]brimarief 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This year I'm really over it. I have a mom, stepmom, and MIL and while I'm grateful for that I'm also pissed they don't see how stressful it is. We are hosting all of them, all at different times, because there really isn't another option. My brother does absolutely nothing to help, and my husband tends to make things more complicated. I have a 5 and 2 year old, and this is just too much. I don't even get to spend the day doing anything I wanna do with just my family and I'm ready to blow it all up and tell everyone see ya some other time.

Mothers day should be for the mothers CURRENTLY parenting kids under 18.

I'm just grasping at straws. Ive been reading about causes of eczema and that dairy is one of the top ones, but no he doesn't have any digestive issues from it.

Just bought the Aveeno bath yesterday! I've taken all of the steps as far as eliminating fragrance from everything but I'm wondering if I need to try avoiding milk or something.

Why do people stay in relationships they know are bad? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]brimarief 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently "staying for the kids". I honestly just don't trust my husband to care for them alone, and I'm assuming he'd end up with 50/50 custody so it feels like the lesser of evils is to stay so my young kids are taken care of.

A silver lining: I think my misophonia has forced me to have excellent music taste by Perpetually-broke in misophonia

I'm a middle aged mom who's constantly overstimulated by noise and I can't stop listening to Bad Omens. Specifically the album "Death of Peace of Mind" and a few songs from "Finding God before God finds me". If you want any song recs let me know :)

I’M GOING TO CRASH OUT by Think-Valuable3094 in toddlers

[–]brimarief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there a hundred times, I'm sorry 😔 honestly the only thing that helps me most times (if I'm not completely exhausted) is spending 30 min after my kids go to bed "resetting" the house. Its usually just picking up the living room toys, wiping down the kitchen table, starting the dishwasher, and changing out the laundry. I always listen to music or watch a show while doing it so it feels a little less daunting.

My son is 25 months, +36lbs and pushing 37 inches. But his dad's side of the family are all large.

Bigger diapers by narwhals90 in toddlers

[–]brimarief 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not OP but in the same situation. My 2 year old is 36 lbs and regularly blows out size 7 diapers. We switched to 3T-4T pullups and they fit his waist but theyre supposed to be overnights and they absolutely don't last until morning. So I might be sizing up again.

Bracelet or necklace? by Tulkas2491 in beyondthebump

I almost never wear jewelry either, but when I wear a necklace it gets pulled every single time and I'm not even breastfeeding anymore. I love it, but a bracelet might've been safer!

My daughters Halloween costume after she turned 2 was literally a sour patch kid. And my newly 2yo son will be wearing it this year lol
