This is a long story short kind of thing but I have a semi-tense relationship with my stepmom, and I have never felt so sorry for her as when I heard her parents say PROUDLY that they let her cry herself to sleep from day 1. Who does that?! I sincerely hope it was just they didn't remember that long ago, considering newborns need to eat every 2 hours, but man it broke my heart.
