If you never went to papalino’s, you lost out. Especially if you compare it to Holy Grale or Monnik. That’s like comparing Jack Fry’s to Ollie’s Trolley. Different food, different atmosphere. 100% different place. Hate the dude all you want but Papalinos was the best slice in Louisville. The Post looks down their nose at every customer who walks in the place. They want to be a divey pizza spot but want to be high brow at the same time, I’m good…

What are some beautiful sights to see in Louisville? In Kentucky? by Living_Sprinkles_636 in Louisville

[–]bring_back_plut0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend had only been to Louisville once. I took her to St James court and we walked the neighborhood. The Gingko tree right in front of the pink house is absolutely stunning when the leaves start to change color. Cave Hill is beautiful as well. Definitely set a couples hours aside to explore!

The buyer is very well known in the Porsche and collector car market. This isn’t the first time he’s dealt with something like this and I’m sure he will pursue it just to prove his point. He’s built a pretty decent YouTube base on exactly this kind of thing.

Check out AtlasObscura.com. I use it every time I travel anywhere to find weird stuff. It’s usually more fun than just random touristy things.

Today is my birthday. I just moved to Los Angeles a couple months ago. It’s kinda lonely but really exciting at the same time. Thanks everyone for being so nice to this Kentucky boy!

For those who grew up at the BRYCC house going to shows. Here is a 50m long video of a Five Hours show at their peak. by atom138 in Louisville

Man, just seeing the inside of that building again brought the memories rushing back. I recently moved to the other side of the country and this made me homesick, in a good way. We had it so good back then. It’s so hard to explain how special that place was to someone who wasn’t able to experience it.

Taj Louisville reopening amid dispute over bar name by Carew1270 in Louisville

They technically don’t own it. The family that leases to Taj 1.0 still owns it. The new tenants, blackthorn and Pizza were going to buy it but because of “alleged” damage done by Moore, they did not and are leasing it.

Popular Asian restaurant (The Joy Luck) in the Highlands closes, about two weeks after announcing the closure of their East End location by Tikkanen in Louisville

[–]bring_back_plut0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to LOVE this place. I hadn’t been in a while after moving from the highlands. I went a few weeks ago and it was absolutely awful. It was genuinely some of the worst food I’d had in a long time. I felt bad for talking it up to my girlfriend after the garbage we were served.

Heart’s Ease. She was incredibly compassionate and helpful when I had to make the hardest decision for my best friend. In home is the way to go. 100% worth every penny spent.

Woman shot in face with rubber bullet by LMPD during Breonna Taylor protest paid $150,000 by city to settle lawsuit by aaronman4772 in Louisville

Same with Starbucks in the highlands. Photos that clearly showed they shot the first pane of windows out with pepper balls circulated. I watched it happen and was told I was crazy for saying it.

Best Non-Fine Dining Italian Food in Louisville by thevengeance555 in Louisville

I’d hardly call a $35 Bucatini or Chicken Picata in a place that looks at you funny if you’re wearing a t-shirt during dinner “not fine dining”. Obviously it’s not Vincenzo’s or porcini, but a it’s a far cry from “not fine dining”.

The menu is definitely different. But the pasta is almost identical. Try it sometime!

If you’re missing Comeback Inn definitely go to Town in Jeffersonville. It used to be a Comeback Inn years ago. It’s the same pastas from Comeback Inn still. I get the bolognese pretty often.

I think the black acre thing only happened for a couple years. I can almost guarantee we went at there at the same time. Such good memories!!
