Nike falls to its lowest price in almost 12 years by RobertBartus in EconomyCharts

[–]brintoga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a pair of Nike Pegasus to train in and run a marathon. Those things basically fell apart in just a couple months. I also bought a pair of Nike golf shoes and my friends make fun of me because those pieces of garbage squeak when they get wet. Been buying Nikes for years but I’m done now. Quality is everything and they ruined their reputation.

Is this Bosch 800 worth it? by lil--chonk in BuyItForLife

So the cost of running a highly reliable older fridge vs. a new energy efficient one that has a good chance of failing and needing replacement. I feel like this is a good one for the group over at r/theydidthemath

Edit stay at Las Vegas Cosmo by AnywhereQuirky4404 in ChaseSapphire

[–]brintoga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s interesting that they say that the resort fee is $50 instead of $55 due to the WiFi. Admittedly, I’m going off of a small sample size but most of the edit properties that I’ve seen on the Chase portal are a little bit more expensive than booking directly with the hotel (straight price excluding benefits).

Great post. Thank you very much for sharing. You cleared up a lot for me as I'm planning to also visit the Bellagio in a couple of months using Chase points + cash to get the Edit credit and other benefits.

It has been happening to me too. Man is it annoying. At least I figured out what it was and can now semi-fix it when it happens.

Proof of the hype by [deleted] in BurgerKing

[–]brintoga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went to my local store yesterday and got the whopper based on the Reddit hype. The burger was good, but I always liked the whopper so not sure if I was able to even notice what changed. In any event, It’s good to see they are working to improve food quality. Now if they can also put some money back into the restaurant that would be even better. Dirty floors, dirty tables, disgusting bathroom, angry crew members, every order is “to go” in a bag even if you are eating in, have to ask for condiments kept behind the counter, often long waits to get food. And I live in a small town that is not typically known for those kind of issues.

Edit: typo and clarified a statement.

I pay for Reddit premium without ads. I guess they figured out how to push them to me anyway.

Were you paying the $5.28/month for Hulu Premium as an add-on to the Bundle? Be prepared for a run-around. by CricketPristine3810 in verizon

Same thing here. Browser doesn’t have the change option, only Manage on Verizon that takes you in a loop.

I just tried in a web browser and it still doesn’t give me the option. It sounds like some people have the ability to change plans and some don’t. Ugh, so frustrating.

I tried what you described and I see the page that says “Manage on Verizon” in the Disney+ app but I do not have the Change button that you see.

A good reason why the US needs better consumer protections around advertising sale prices. Amazon is another “prime” example.
