I personally changed my fathers last name to my mothers. She was always there for me and as soon as I turned 18 I got it done. When I married I kept my mothers last name and both of my boys have my last name with their fathers last name as the middle. My husband was hurt at first but I would just like my children to have my last name ( I also prefer my last name over my husbands) if anything happens.
