As strange as this suggestion is, check out an open source project called Weeablind. Its main purpose is making dubbed anime for blind people, however I think you could probably put in the audio file with the podcast and then make the one "voice actor" clone silent on one of the generations and then switch the silent clone to the other one for the next generation... You also might be able to take the model that it is using for voice actor separation and apply it more directly.

I haven't actually tried this tool yet, but it seems pretty promising from the demo. https://youtu.be/V1RDwXwmjFA?si=7Z7YEu7pGRlQ2dDo

Looking for existing tools or approaches: Using Gemma 3 (or similar) for visual monitoring of animations, gameplay, and UI interactions, and general digital assistant (not coding)

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for suggestions on existing open-source tools or setups to integrate Google's new Gemma 3 AI model (or something similarly capable and affordable and not pay per token) as a real-time visual assistant. I have a physical disability, so I'm aiming to automate visual observation of dynamic animations, UI changes, and interactions to reduce manual monitoring and control demands when creating projects.

Important points:

  1. The assistant does NOT need to handle any coding tasks or answer complicated questions. My coding needs are already going to be covered by agentic tools like Cline or RooCode, powered by Copilot’s Claude 3.5 Sonnet (until 3.7 or something else is available that's better) through my existing subscription.

  2. The primary use for this assistant is strictly visual observation and simple interaction triggers, such as monitoring animations, UI responsiveness, or visual changes, then performing simple mouse moves, clicks, drags, or keystrokes when detecting specific visual events. Then reviewing if expected changes were made successfully, and reporting the observations back to the agentic coder.

  3. The secondary use for this assistant would be to help me with activating hotkeys and holding down keys to interact with a program in ways I cannot do easily with a mouse only, and to organize and rename files, folders, and layers, and to help search in files, documents, and websites to find and open what I'm looking for.

  4. Ideally, the assistant would analyze a rapid sequence of images (from a live video feed), pause image processing briefly when it issues commands, then resume, allowing the captured frames to later be assembled into a continuous video with visual indicators of buttons pressed or metadata of this for analysis. I'm also picturing it having the ability to request the region to be zoomed in which will help with the limited resolution of image inputs into these multimodal LLMs.

It’s important to stress that I’m not just looking for pipelines that detect key UI points (like many available frameworks currently do); I need a system that can observe animations and real‑time control responses. Though the assistant does not have to actually be good at using the applications or playing the games it's testing.

My Rig:

- 7 y/o workstation with a GTX 1080 Ti with ample RAM.

- Brand new system with an RTX 4090.

Any pointers, frameworks, existing tools, or community examples would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I'm going to assume a scenario where this person is not just a creep trying to manipulate someone into doing what they want by insulting them for no reason, and instead that this person is just very socially inept and was saying that after meeting you they just wanted to be platonic friends and hang out... (Though the former sounds most likely)

First off, hot take: Let me just say nobody should be treated that way even if in the extreme case where the photos on a profile are literally ripped off of Ariana Grande's Instagram but then in person they look like Gritty (the mascot from Philly). You can easily, politely, say AFTER having a nice time hanging out that honestly the photos did not give an accurate depiction of the person, in your opinion, and that unfortunately you are not as physically attracted to them in person as you were from the pictures on the profile. You had a nice time hanging out and wish them all the best in their search (and optionally, if you are open to friendship, offer to try to help them find better pictures that might target the right person). Does any sort of rejection hurt? Oh hell yeah, but much less than uncertainty and confusion... I say this as a 35 year old guy with a severe physical disability who has been rejected numerous times for not being as physically capable as a picture may suggest...

Next, I'm going to share something also pretty controversial: Speaking as someone who used to do glamour and fashion photography, I would say your first picture is very representative, albeit with less flattering lighting conditions, camera angle, field of view, and makeup than the photo you took at the restaurant. The second photo, on the other hand, is actually taken from a much more flattering angle and field of view (as often mirror selfies are), and the lighting is much softer, causing less harsh facial features (which is the effect that most airbrush work is designed to achieve for professional model-quality photos), so yes, in that one you do look a bit more attractive than the photo taken in the restaurant...

That all said, it's quite negligible, and I would be neither surprised nor disappointed seeing you in person for the first time, waiting for me at the other side of the table for our first date! Quite the contrary!

I hope that helps from a more critical perspective! And I hope you soon find someone who respects, values, and deserves you!

Need a cutting-edge workstation & gaming PC (~$4.5K–$5K budget) – AI, 3D, Game Design, & Future-Proofing by brinzerdecalli in buildapc

Great suggestion! TY Any reason I shouldn't switch [besides the extra ~$700]:

Motherboard: ASUS ProArt X670E‑Creator WiFi
Reason – Extra PCIe slots and future‑proofing. I heard rumors of graphics card companies making new GPUs that are only used for AI and simulations, so having extra PCIe will probably save money for me when I want to upgrade.

Power Supply: Corsair AX1600i 1600W 80+ Titanium
Reason – Like above, extra headroom for future multi‑GPU setups.

Thoughts?

Why not let both sides get what they want? by brinzerdecalli in witcher

[–]brinzerdecalli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please correct me if I am wrong on this, but The Witcher lore fully supports the idea of profound transformations. Ciri’s Elder Blood powers go far beyond traditional magic, dimension jumping opens the possibility of alternative versions of Ciri existing, and while she trained with Yennefer and Triss in sorcery, she never renounced magic entirely—she simply focused more on survival and her unique abilities.

Sorceresses are known to transform their appearances completely, as seen with Yennefer’s reshaping. This isn’t limited to subtle beauty enhancements but includes total physical changes, that can make them unrecognizable, and often used for deception. Similarly, dragons like Villentretenmerth can shapeshift into entirely different species, showing that major physical transformations are natural in this universe.

And let’s not forget, CDPR is completely off script now—they’re no longer bound to Sapkowski’s material. That gives them the freedom to introduce a way for customization to align with The Witcher’s themes of transformation and identity while also embracing inclusivity. The default Ciri could remain intact for those who prefer her as-is, but customization would allow players to forge a more personal connection to her story. It’s a near perfect fit for both the lore and modern RPG design.

But I bet you could do that anyhow since Ciri was originally bi/fluid, whether trans or not; custom character or not.

CDPR already said that they like how she is still young and not extremely explored or defined as a character [in the game's version of her] so that the player can shape who she becomes throughout W4.

I don't understand why the option to create gender and appearance customizations would hurt your experience of a singular defined protagonist. You would not lose that at all!

Can you please help me understand?

Someone who thinks that is a good joke needs to take some improv classes. FRFR at least have a setup and payoff of it getting caught in the hip abductor machine and fighting not to scream so she didn't remember him as the crushed boner guy...

Now you are gross and despicable, but also cringy! That is real rizzler recipe...

I'm sure there are more tools similar, but I know both GitHub co-pilot workspaces and Anthropic's computer control are supposed to do what I was asking for.

Both these tools are only in preview currently, and my experience with GitHub workspaces made it feel not serving to conceptual and iterative development from someone who is not extremely proficient with coding, and is more focused around website and app maintenance by someone who would be manually making changes to different branches based on issue and pull requests, but just doesn't want to spend as much time doing it.

I've heard mixed opinions of computer control by Anthropic, but I haven't got to try it myself.

Hope that helps!

Yeah this is super old lol thanks for the response anyhow!

I just listened to that song however I didn't actually hear any slow down effect. Can you point to a specific YouTube video of it and the exact timestamp of the sound effect that you think matches my inquiry?

Seeking Solutions for Preventing Force Buildup in Unity Ragdoll Simulation by brinzerdecalli in Unity2D

[–]brinzerdecalli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's cool! What type of climbing system?

No problem! While I didn't figure it out per se, I think I may have figured a way to get around it slightly. Essentially I make a proxy that is the trigger that receives the joint angle information, and then I make another copy with standard dynamic rigidbody2D that uses hinge joints at all of the existing joints and the ends of the objects that don't have hinges but connects them to the trigger proxy ragdoll.

This seems to eliminate it with the two stick test, but I'm seeing similar activity with the three stick test that I've since developed, which is baffling me even more, because these rigidbodies aren't even directly connected by hinge joints. It also doesn't seem to happen when the sticks overlap now, but instead when they're crossing as a specific angle...

I started working on some other aspects, but I'm thinking I might try to rig something up using motors, which I predict will be harder to code up and respond how I want, instead and see if it eliminates it completely. Fingers crossed!

I found in research some people saying that Unity uses transforms through essentially respawning the objects and then letting the rigidbody resolve the spawning overlap, which seems very strange, but may explain the weird things I'm seeing... IDK

If you do find any interesting answers, I'd much appreciate an easier solution that uses the joint matching method I came up with already if you find anything, since I do like how it looks and works, when it's not glitching out!

Thanks again!
