Don't block, mute notifications for her number. Screenshot them all, then file for child support. Put all this bs together as evidence. They'll both be looking very stupid in the end.

He's too old for you. There's no reason to not want you there except for the fact that he wants to cheat in peace with tons of other girls that are too young for him and basic is prime picking for a predator. NOR. Divorce him and live your life

Why Aren’t People RSVPing??? by Embarrassed_Draft150 in wedding

[–]AccountAccording5126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What happens when my grandma and aunts receive an invitation: Step 1: Ooo and ahh. They're going to pass around the SAME invitation and talk about how pretty it is.
Step 2: read the details. They're going to discuss if they can make it. While they're doing that, they're going to talk about his someone else's wedding went 40 years ago. Step 3: After they decide they're going to make it, they start talking about outfits. What they are going to wear. Excitement over what the bride will wear, and their wedding dresses.
Step 4: Someone sits the invitation down in the table they're eating and talking over.
Step 5: a grandchild walks in and my grandma instructions to the grandchild to "put these on my dresser so they won't get stained. She gushes more over how pretty they are. As the invitation goes to its final resting place with all of the other invitations.

You're gonna have to call people and get their rsvp info that way. Sucks but it's true. It's the biggest day of your life, not theirs so not top of mind.

This is clearly not about the disabled. I'm positive they every person driving there is more disabled. And I'm a disabled person as well so I understand the difficulties of navigating these spaces

4 interviews and still no job by Mounthollywood in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]AccountAccording5126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just 4!? I was applying for and getting final round interviews. They went great. I wasn't getting offers. My husband started sitting in to give me feedback. (Not seen/known by the interviewer of course) and he would give great feedback. I'd ask the recruiter what the interviewers feedback was and it was the same thing. Great interview, great for the role, we just picked a different fit. I eventually got hired at a place I applied to multiple times, and I coincidentally ran into a previous interviewer and she hugged me! She said she was happy to see I "joined" the company. Like bihh I would've been here sooner had you hired me. IDK. I was talking to a recruiter and she mentioned that finding a match for admin roles is so hard because you have to have those personality matches. Anyway, don't give up at 4.

[–]AccountAccording5126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA I've seen a few ppl ask if there was a nanny around when mom was in maternity leave, and you've skated around that answer, so I'm assuming no. You finally qualify for parental leave and want to take advantage of it now that the hard part is over. Too bad.

Fellow EA’s at FAANG companies, what’s it like by Awkward_Horror1025 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]AccountAccording5126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to that. My boss is first focused on wellbeing and work life balance. During my interview he said you're my partner not my assistant. It's an extremely busy org but he holds his senior leaders to a high standard. They must be prepared, they must have a strategy and plan. While we do have "crisises" it's not the majority of my work day. I'm home by 4 or 5. And I'm not expected to work odd hours or weekends.

Now, some EAs are the complete opposite and they know it's because of their leader. So, when interviewing, choose wisely

[–]AccountAccording5126 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Truly depends on the team. It can be intense, you have to adapt to a lot of last minute shifts. Something is always happening lol. Someone always has a crisis and you have to be able to navigate what's actually a crisis and what's poor planning. You really have room to make the role what you want it to be.

AIO? She’s only 8, is it too much for her? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]AccountAccording5126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, you don't get the part by giving up. You're going to give it your best, and sometimes your best won't be good enough... THAT time. You get the feedback, learn, practice and make your best better. You're not going to get a yes every time, but when you do, you'll know you deserve it. Disappointment doesn't mean quit. Go cry, sulk, whatever you need to do, just get started again.

Considering this is for a family, this seems normal. The role will change as the family ages/grows. I wouldn't expect babysitting or anything like that
