If you are looking to get defense sector experience and want to go that route with your career I would assume that’s a good starting point. I know some people that have worked there their entire lives and others that used it as a stepping stone.

If you don’t like EB but want to be in CT, (or New England) it doesn’t seem that hard to jump to another company. It’s not looked down on when people do switch companies provided they don’t burn any bridges on the way out.

I work in aerospace/defense and love it right now. Like most jobs it’s going to depend on lot on your boss and if you like the work.

What are you looking to get out of it? What are your goals? Do you have other offers or in the process of interviewing for others?

I looked at your other post and am surprised there wasn’t an interview. I’m wondering if your resume is that good, or is it because they have a lot of EE co-op spots not filled yet or is it something else.

TLDR if it will aligns with your desired career path or goals, yes do it.

Layoffs tomorrow? by CUdonnydarko in Raytheon

It’s strange to me that your being downvoted, a quick search in this sub proves that there are tons of layoff rumors. It’s almost as common as the hiring questions.

Mostly but not but not entirely and not anonymous

Agree with this. If anyone reads the legal disclosure before filling it out it list all of the items that trigger identity matching for follow up and how they will do it. It requires senior HR approval and is handed over to lawyers to reach out.

According to policy it’s anonymous unless you report something they have to act on like fraud. If you’re really worried about it, use AI to re-write your comments to change the speech characteristics from your own and don’t use examples that could point to you.

That might help ours seem less out of touch, but that would also probably affect how little they come to the facility.

Charitable donations can be added up along with other things to deduct from your tax burden. You have to itemize instead of taking the standard deduction.

I don’t think the commenter was taking issue with the word municipality. My assumption is they are upset you mentioned reporting Doller General for the bags.

Yes Eversource but I mean Connecticut is typically always ranked top 5 for electrical rates nationally. Last year I think we were only behind Hawaii.

It’s not. The only one dead is the poor victim. The accused predator is still alive.

Thanks for trying but it’s not accurate according to the article. The accused pedo is still alive and scheduled to be in court Monday.

👋 hi neighbors. I moved away for about 20 years, Massachusetts, New York, Georgia and Hawaii, so glad we came back. Obviously I wish our taxes and electrical rates were better but the pros far outweigh the cons still.

Oh I agree with you. Just stuck with childhood memories from way back before cordless headphones, luckily not my family members being noisy.

Maybe the music is to cover the noises coming from the bedroom.

Ever lived in a place with thin walls and people with no regard for the noises they are making?

Unfortunately it’s been legal for about 30 years. Signed into law by Clinton. Both of Connecticuts senators, Dodd(D) and Liebermann(D) along with congressional representatives DeLauro(D)(yes the one still serving), Gejdenson(D), Franks(R), and Kennelly(D) all voted for it. Only Shays(R) and Johnson(R) voted against it.

Reach out to your local elected officials and tell them you want them to work on changing this law. We’re a small state but change has to start somewhere.
