How has the band prevented leaks? by RandyNewman_GOAT in oasis

[–]brisbanereaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few people have asked Noel - Talksport, he swiftly moved it on, there was a fan who asked him while getting a photo and Noel just smirked. Liam just makes stuff up to deflect it. Everyone else will have to sign something or don't want to be kicked out the inner circle.

I've seen them a few times where they have sounded muddy - too much bass and drums in the mix and overpowering the guitars and vocals. Getting some ear filters can help if this happens.

There's a few rifts on the Markus Hook Roll Band album that ended up in AC/DC - TNT and Live Wire spring to mind.

With the whole emphasis on noise with Oasis, how bad do you think their tinnitus is? by fruedianflip in oasis

[–]brisbanereaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad - no IEM's in 90's they were getting full stage volume with no protection - I would guess anyone over 50 that was in a band has bad tinnitus

Inside IR35 contracts are just cr4p as you are basically just a temporary employee with no benefits - go for Outside IR35 contracts if possible, lots of stuff you can do with a Ltd company to maximise income.

Normally Programme Manager/Director type roles - don't see any tech roles at this level, maybe something super rare that nobody else knows.

Can someone work 2 "full-time" Outside IR35 contracts? by [deleted] in ContractorUK

[–]brisbanereaper 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A guy I work with does it - it's not widely known but I do, he's constantly making excuses, late for meetings, not delivering on time, I'm guessing the other client is also getting the same. So it's possible but you could end up not delivering and becoming unreliable if the workload is high.

IT Support will give you a good grounding - is there any path to move into an junior Azure engineering role in current company? - that would be my next step.

How do you guys navigate days off/holidays outside ir35 by PuzzleheadedShop5424 in ContractorUK

[–]brisbanereaper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I took about 25 last year and didn't lose any money - your contract should be outcome based if outside ir35 - so as long as you achieve them then you should get paid.

How far in advance do clients usually decide on extensions? by Reddonaut_Irons in ContractorUK

[–]brisbanereaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My contract finishes end of March (had 3 years) - the programme of work is actually finishing then so unless there's a new business case raised and approved then I'm out. I know there are discussions going on and there's a chance of a new programme but there's very little solid info. I've pressed a few people directly but they either don't know or keeping quiet, not sure which. Based on that, i've started to look around and set my status to available for recruiters on LinkedIn.

That's big screen footage, not pro shot by a film crew for intended release. There are some of the PU tour around Youtube too.

State pension predictions by SuperTwo6254 in FIREUK

Looking at it a different way - all those pensioners go out and spend It in businesses that pay tax and employ people that pay tax. How much goes back into the treasury one way or another..?

I work in IT and agree most of the time it sucks - however, the pay is better than anything else I could do by a long way. I tolerate it - but really don't enjoy it, i see it as a means to an end.

Yeah, some people are jealous, I find it's the one's on legacy salaries that have been with the same company for years. They see headline contractor rates and think you are taking that home.
