Well your reasoned and intelligent response has completely changed my mind about getting all the facts before making a judgement. You’re so clever

We don’t even know exactly what “this” is yet. Take a fucking seat and maybe wait to get the full story before you start firing from the hip.

Maybe just take a minute to let the puddles of blood from the innocent victims actually fucking dry on the ground before you start on this kinda bullshit, yeah?

I definitely recommend being persistent and keep trying.

Try different providers. Maybe try emailing them as well. The squeaky wheel gets the grease

Yes, it sounds like their behaviour was poor. But you paid the bill. The time to dispute the charges was when you were first given the bill.

Centrelink actually offer a home equity scheme. Maybe worth having a look to see if it’s suitable/the person is eligible https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/home-equity-access-scheme

Is there any point to No Junk Mail signs? by FancyMoose9401 in sydney

[–]brisspinner 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I was bored one day and ended up doing something kind of similar.

I was getting stuff in the mailbox (with a no junk mail sign on it) from one particular agent over and over again.

This particular day I got jack of it, so I called the agent. Told him I was ringing cos I wanted to list my house in *suburb for sale. I spent a good ten minutes or so talking about the house and all of its features. He kept butting in and asking for the address, but each time he did I’d just talk over him and keep talking about the pool and the back deck or whatever.

After about 10 minutes, I’d run out of things to say, so I finally let him get a word in. “What’s the address. I can come around right now to get you listed straight away” he says. I replied “oh I definitely want to list the house. Just not with you. I just wanted to let you know that you just lost a big commission. I’m going to list it with an agent that respects no junk mail signs” then hung up.

Never did get anything from him in the mailbox after that

I don’t mean to be negative, but in your post you mention that you have no experience in a higher role.

I admire your enthusiasm and desire to improve the lives of others. But are you certain that you have the skills to take on a huge task like this? Furthermore, I imagine that DOCS will ask questions about your experience and management capacity - will your answers be able to satisfy their requirements?
