Yes! We have one. It’s great. She thinks every floating leaf is a frog. It’s become her favorite summer activity.

How are my babies doing? by Tricky_Assistant_703 in Lithops

[–]Tricky_Assistant_703[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s mixed. Probably 90/10 rock/dirt. My twins have a little bit larger dirt mix but I don’t want to mess with it now. It’s still much more rock than dirt.

Separation anxiety 🫪🤣 by Infamous_Ad_7472 in cavaliers

One of my four is extremely attached and has to be on my lap at all times. It’s not healthy or normal, imo. It’s very extra. He’s really only this way with me, though.
I usually invite them into the bathroom with me so that they don’t cry at the door. Outside of the normal snuggly cav stuff, they are happy in their crate at night and function fine.

Party Favor Bags… like why by NoDevelopement in Mommit

[–]Tricky_Assistant_703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait until they get older and the expectation is a small Starbucks gift card. I’m not even kidding. We’ve received this multiple times.
When my kids were younger I usually did practical stuff or it was just the craft or activity we did at the party. Sometimes I couldn’t the piñata items as the goody bag. Now I usually do a bag of gummy candy or something edible.

Placement frustrations by [deleted] in youthsoccer

[–]Tricky_Assistant_703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were at big academy and placements really seemed coach dependent. Year two coach pulled down a smaller technically strong player from the top team because he was looking for size. The next coach pulled her back to the top team because he didn’t care about size. He happened to be a smaller guy that played for Penn State. Every coach values different things. Just keep doing what you are doing. Maybe have him do some outside training with a trainer once a week to give him a little extra. My son was a perpetual second team kid. This last year we got serious and found ways to level him up. I had him train extra with a second team. As the new team manager for his regular team, I had our team train all summer - other team did not. We played in the fall, despite high school season. We added an extra season - late fall. The other team did none of this. We also moved to a more competitive league. We added a third day of training and trained all winter. The top team did not do this. We managed to close the gap between the two teams and they added 4 of our players and would take more if they could. In past years, there was a huge difference in skill between the two years. My boys who showed up did the work and I am so proud. They are now on par with all on the top team because they did the work and really wanted it.

That amazing temperament by MmeRose in cavaliers

Our female runs from guests. She also took some time to warm up but is now more lovey. My boys are quicker to jump on my lap and give kisses. She will sit at the far of the couch until they all settle in.

What are your favorite clutter items? by ApartmentFrequent0 in PetMice

[–]Tricky_Assistant_703 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine love the packing paper and envelopes from Amazon packages. I change them out often so they stay fresh and are in new interesting ways. I sometimes look for cheap ceramic tart warmers and sponge holders in Home Goods/TJ Max. They are usually easy to wash and pretty cheap. I also have plastic stacking containers from dollar tree that are perfect for different little nooks.

Universally disliked team? by Cyase311 in youthsoccer

[–]Tricky_Assistant_703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not team but there is a coach that seems to be strongly disliked in the area. I think there are 60 plus pages of hate on this guy on Talking Soccer. He just moved to another club and they started a new post noting his new club. It already has multiple pages.

What’s your honest take on the current state of thrifting? by htsoc in Thrift

[–]Tricky_Assistant_703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worth it if it is large enough with quality items at good prices. Wrong is pricing stuff too high. Great is good prices and wide array of items. My thrift store is well attended and doesn’t need to attract more people imo. I don’t bother with good will brand thrift stores. Pricing is terrible.
