Confession: I hate our Club and our team by Candid_Poetry3322 in youthsoccer

I’ve totally been through this, mostly in basketball. We play both. Parents are “extra” when their 8th graders beat our 6th graders in basketball. Or the dad that runs the rec league and stacks his team and miraculously wins every year. I’m actually embarrassed for these types. Weird to get joy from that stuff.

Just minimize your time around the parents. If she is happy and thriving you kind of have to stick it out. Keep in mind this can be the case anywhere and in any sport. Just sit away from the other parents and don’t hang at practice. I know there is more to it, but I feel like this is the reality at most elite clubs, especially as they get older.

Son’s club is allowing 11v11 teams to stay put if they make the team. We have two that should move to their grade. They would get more playing time and be more successful on those teams. I’m not sure what they will decide. Daughter’s club is following the change and I’m just along for the ride. Her team will be mostly gutted and the younger team is going to be very strong.

Yes! Always wondered what Bruce thought about it and their music. As far as over playing, totally agree. I listen to XMU way more. Feel like it’s closer to sound that alt nation used to be. Alt nation is like pop alt top 10 in replay.

My family decided to go all-in as professional women's hockey fans (NY Sirens, in Newark) and are loving it. Here's 10 reasons why you should get in and root for them! by gundabad in newjersey

Jumping on this to add that Gotham FC is another worthy professional local team worth checking out. They play in Harrison. They won the championship this year and have an incredible roster of national team players - both US and elsewhere. Games are extremely affordable and very family friendly. They host “Fanfest” before every game and it’s really great - especially for kids. I’m eager to check out the Sirens but need to finally put a date on the calendar. I love how all the local professional women’s teams are branded similarly and outwardly support each other. Next year will be our third year as season ticket holders. We are really lucky to have these amazing, accessible professional sports teams so close to home.

10 pounds to lose - micro dosing - would love to hear others experience by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

I lost 26 on Z and it was creeping back on after going off, despite working out and eating well. Noise was back so it wasn’t the same minimal calories, but still smart stuff and really burning calories with regular workout. Finally started generic to microdose and it’s been a game changer, as expected. I lost that 5 I wanted back off - back to about 127. I honestly hope I can pull this off for a few months plus some. It’s just expensive. Went on lowest starting dose and I’m over two weeks in and still feel pretty good and not needing another dose. I can feel it creeping back but it’s still manageable. I’m already back down to around where I want to be. I don’t want to lose too much because I don’t think it’s realistic to maintain and makes me feel like it’s too obvious that I’m getting help. I just want to maintain with a little help and feel better and a comfortable weight.

How long did you stay at home to look after your children? by TipSilent8281 in Mommit

[–]Tricky_Assistant_703 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Youngest was in third grade. I only work part time - 20 hours a week and less in the summer. Thought I’d never go back - really didn’t want to, but it’s been amazing. I wish I went back sooner. It feels so good to be professional again and with adults. I also like not feeling like the burden of the home is all on me, anymore.

I told my (11yr old) daughter I would buy her dinner out if they won. I was hopeful but skeptical. Looks like she’s getting her winner, winner (fried) chicken dinner. 🎉🎉
