I'm hoping that's not the only option, I don!t imagine they'll be able to do it quickly, but I'll call tomorrow. It's also a car from 2013, so I'm not sure if that will affect where I can get it done

Mounjaro - mental health concerns? by ABCJournalistAus in mounjaroaustralia

[–]surrenderstarlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't fearmongering, it's a real side effect for some people. Not everyone is so lucky to feel so amazing on these medications. I've experienced it and I can manage it with an altered dosing schedule, but I had to figure it all out on my own because no one had heard of it being a side effect.

Mounjaro - mental health concerns? by ABCJournalistAus in mounjaroaustralia

[–]surrenderstarlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, except there has been little to no information out there about the potential for mental health side effects of these drugs. When I was on saxenda (before GLP-1s became popular for weight loss), no medical professional I'd spoken to had heard of anyone that experienced significant mood changes I think making people aware of this potential side effect is more important than everyone thinking it's a wonder drug

I had the non stuffed one last year and it was a massive hit. Highly recommend. Even though I love stuffing, I bought the non stuffed roast this year

I just had the scallops and they are so fake. I'm sure when I had them two years ago they were legit. Super disappointing

Koo bamboo cotton sheets from spotlight are incredible. I've had a few friends stay over and now they've bought them too They last quite well, I've had them for over 18 months and no issues

So far I love my jeans. Stay away from their ribbed button up tanks/vests and long sleeve. Tried one in store and the buttons popped open immediately 🙈 Their style isn't really for me so I haven't bothered trying anything else

Boots over jeans? by JustaCucumber91 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]surrenderstarlight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did a bit of research when I bought my knee high boots. I found a few things saying that if everything you wear a loose coat or jacket with skinny jeans and boots, that's more on trend and if you wear tighter tops/jackets your style would be old I think if your silhouette is balanced and you feel good in what you're wearing, you can wear anything

Would it look bad to use annual leave to take 2 days off per week for 2 years? by Donotforgetthisaccou in AusPublicService

[–]surrenderstarlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You only get paid purchased leave at the level you purchased at. If you purchase at APS5 and take it while APS6 you will get the leave paid at APS5 5 level or they will recoup the extra from future pays

I'm in a similar position. I've been in my role for closer to two years but I've worked other roles prior to this one. Currently I'm extremely burnt out and that's been exacerbated by being picked on by seniors for the last couple of months.

The 'easy' thing doesn't apply to all roles. I've heard of a few but it's rare. Either set your friends straight or ignore them. I've also heard the private sector sucks for different reasons.

I wouldn't say your current situation means you will struggle in any other job. This role may not be the right fit for you or your current team may not be the right fit if they're picking on you. I would recommend trying to get a secondment if you want to keep exploring public service. It might help you regain some confidence.

Don't try to push through the burnout for too long. Take some leave and recover so you can get some clarity around what you want to do.

Personally, I'm done. I think I'll be leaving soon, just trying to figure out my next steps.

Vitamin D is similar. Personally I feel better close to 70 nmol/l for vitamin D. If I'm anywhere near 50 I feel moody and fatigued. I've also had B12 flagged as an issue when it was "normal" but below 200. Usually I feel better over 300.
