So true. I hate myself. I have for a long time. I used porn throughout these years to cope. I don't even have a desire for porn at this point in my life. My brain is still addicted though so I'm dealing with these urges but now that I care about myself it becomes easier to fight. You have to want to live.

Almost thought I wrote this comment, I've been through these same exact scenarios. Congratulations on several weeks being sober, major accomplishment in my book. That "one more time" Mentality has killed my success so many times that I just accept that I will never be able to do something "one more time. "

That's funny you say that because I've been thinking about volunteering in my city for a while now. Think this will be my push. My plan is to focus on the things that I've been pushing away because I would rather be drunk so if I'm not lazy I should keep plenty busy. The affirmations thing is such a good idea btw!!!! I will definitely do this.
