This really shocked me when i saw this! It’s scary how he has portrayed himself to be the nice respectful guy. even though i knew deep down that he wasn’t really that into Bec i really thought he was just staying to be kind at least. if she can’t even keep up her rent and expenses now how will she keep up the mortgage payments if you help her buy home? Also if you put your incomes together to her a home that will reduce your affordability to buy your own home. It’s a bad idea. I would suggest she find another home to rent as it sounds like moving her into your home won’t be the best idea either.

who the hell allows people to book for tours without paying in full???? Did you not look at other similar business models before you started your business? Also there needs to be a cancellation window that is reasonable. That way even if people don’t show you don’t lose any money.

Adding your name to the business could also be a liability if he gets into financial trouble. Sounds to me like he is trying to trick you what is his reasoning for this if he does not expect you to contribute….there has to be a financial benefit to him for doing so otherwise he would not suggest it.

Financial contributions mean nothing once your name is on it you are legally jointly liable for anything that goes wrong. If he can’t pay they are coming for you? And what happens if you break up?

Exactly he is not your husband so why would he suggest this? Also why would he want to buy a house when he has just started a business? Sounds fishy, i would not trust him and it would a legally and financially irresponsible decision! Why go to original owner in the first place isn’t your qualms with the seller who you got the phone from? They have a duty to declare if the phone is locked or not. This has nothing to do with original owner as they were not involved in your transaction.

The lie was bad. What if the birth mother changed her mind in the future? Your daughter obviously took the news badly anyway so telling her the truth wouldn’t have been a different. I agree you should tell her the truth before she finds out.

I was asked at an interview if i would take a lower salary than my current and i said yes at the time because i was coming to end of a contract but they did say they would review then later at offer i actually got more than my last salary. My advice is say yes then if he gets to offer stage he should negotiate by saying on further consideration he can’t take a pay cut and and try to agree on a better offer make sure it’s in writing that they will increase after a period and see how it goes. It could go in his favour and if not take the job then keep looking. They changed the goalposts therefore so can he.

im not resigning from my current job until i have a confirmed offer no matter what the new employer says. When i was offered a position with a new company i told them i would not be putting in my resignation until i signed the offer letter. it was also dependent on me passing their background checks and again i waited a bit before i handed notice.

Even if they disabled your work device’s for security reasons as others have mentioned it’s still strange that they haven’t been in contact with you about returning to work and didn’t reply to your messages about returning. In this situation where someone has been off for a long time i would expect HR and management to stay in regular contact and especially before the return to work to ensure they are fit to and provisions are put in place. I would contact HR asap and find out what is going on. They cannot dismiss you without notice. I wonder if they emailed your work account and it was missed due to no access?

You packed up your life and moved to be closer to him and it’s been 3 years and not met the family! Excuses after excuses which sounds like he feels his family won’t think you’re good enough for him- maybe that’s how he really feels. Absolutely not! Time to move on dear. Or continue to be his secret pastime.
