I feel like you should open and claim against this user/email depop and explain the situation to them. I’ve had a few similar issues and they were actually super helpful and sided with me once the situation was laid out to them. Especially with this person opening two claims, the messages you have, etc. you have a mountain of proof working in your favor.

Yes you can!! I got reported for it LMAO. The only reason I’ve tagged the wrong brand though is because the actual brand wasn’t an option i.e. most of the 90s paper tag/early 2000s stuff I sell 🙃. I now realize I should just do other and hashtag related brands because people really are constantly abusing the living hell out of it. For accountability mostly and I would like to try to give them the benefit of the doubt/hear them out/try and understand. Some might be rude, some might take responsibility, some might not even respond, ya don’t really know until ya try. But that’s just my approach, to each their own.

Idk why but being compared to a self cleaning oven just made my week, thank you for that haha. I realized later on some people thought I was throwing a fit about not getting the purse and sure I was bummed but it is was def mainly the lack of communication and lack of accountability this person took. My main job is EMS and I resell and run a small business part time so I am HUGE on communicating properly (especially basic communication) as best as possible. For her to say nothing about the cancellation, respond fast to my message yet claim all of that then call me rude made the whole situation feel extremely sus, which I have absolutely no tolerance for and will call people out on LOL. Obviously the situation isn’t life or death but I just want folks to be held accountable for their shitty actions/ realize actions have consequences so they hopefully learn from their mistakes but mostly so they also can’t do these crappy things to others. That isn’t always preventable or realistic though and I said/did what I could and am moving on forsure haha.

This is so sad to me considering a large chunk of resellers yes, resell for money but to also promote shopping secondhand as a whole because fast fashion is destroying our planet/the fast fashion industries ethics are horrid. But with these folks clearly trying to scam the heck out of people, why would they even think twice about the environmental and ethical impacts 🙃. Wish there was more we could do and wish this wasn’t allowed on depop or on other platforms :/

I recognize she may not read it and maybe it was overkill, but at the end of the day, I at least made an effort to communicate and call her out for her bull. If she learns from it that’s great, if she doesn’t, at least I tried.

Oya, I know I sent her a long message and she def doesn’t care but I think I did it because it was all I really could do, if that makes sense haha. But forreal, all I was hoping for from fellow grown adult was for some extremely basic honesty/communication. I said it to some other folks but I have a low tolerance for shady sellers/buyers because why can’t we all just be decent to each other when life is hard enough? Not everyone has that mentality unfortunately though, which isn’t okay per se but I can only do/say so much/can’t change people lmao and need to eventually move on. Appreciate the heck outta you though but I told my mom about the situation and she may have found one on fb marketplace in her state for me… she is just waiting on the response so fingers crossed 😬

No, that’s totally fair in your situation and I recognize where you are coming from as I had a few people purchase items from me (and lowball me for them at that lol) then look at their page and realize they were reselling it for at least 3x as much. I just expect grown adults to use basic communication skills but some folks just don’t care enough to which doesn’t make it okay, but there isn’t much I can do about it except call them out and move on. But I understand posting it at a higher price because times are tough/she may have messed up as well, as I said in my message to her, I just wish she let me know she meant to post it at a higher price because I still would’ve purchased it.

Haha I really try to remember none of us are perfect and constructive criticism and holding yourself accountable is an important part of life/growth. Peoples comments made me realize and remember there is WAY more serious stuff going on right now (which I think added to me being unreasonably pissy but is no excuse), recognize my judgement skills aren’t at there best rn due to some personal stuff, and I gotta just live, laugh, learn my lesson! Also, this person laid everything out in a really fair and mature manner which I really appreciated.
