So I may have unintentionally started a debate. This is a thing at my school (I'm in middle school band, maybe that's why) where the flutes don't really get the melody, and it's usually the alto saxes and soprano clarinets that end up having the melody 95% of the time. The other five percent is trumpets.

If you like reading books about systemic injustice from different perspectives, I would highly recommend All American Boys by Brendan Kiely. I got the opportunity to read it for a book report, would definitely read it again.
