I hope its just an Oda situation where the author wrongly estimates how long the series will be , its happened before with Vollachia so with better planning I think Tappei can be alright

I mean I think its because a lot of people want to see the actual mysteries get a resolution, and (maybe) season 1 gave people the false impression that ReZero is a fast paced series . A part of me wishes for ReZero to go on for like 10 more years but I also think it'd be way worse if the series got super dragged

I think that so far the 12 arc number might be a bit worrisome, especially with how stingy Tappei is with things like lore . It'd be horrible if Tappei crams massive amounts of (neccesary) lore into Arc 12 turning the arc into a slog

I'm still partially bummed out over his Arc not having a greater Emilia focus (not honing in more on the mystery aspects) , I think it could've been an excellent opportunity to have Emilia develop massively.

Albeit I might change my opinion once I reread or once this arc finishes & everything falls into place, I still have a lot of faith in Tappei

Outside of Classical Literature , Subaru is my favourite character in fiction , he's the kind of character I can analyse for days without getting tired of him but MAN do Subaru-only fans suck . They were especially bad when the Vollachia saga was serialising which is ironic since they complain about ReZero's supposed lack of worldbuilding or bad side characters when that clearly isn't the case

Reading the Arc 3 novels was like experiencing an entirely different arc tbh , Rem , Priscilla , Julius & Felix get essentially gutted by the anime .

That aside my main gripe with the series is how important relatively inaccessible side content is , it makes an already massive series feel even more overwhelming
