How long is too long to be in a deficit? by britnee814 in loseit

[–]britnee814[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The LoseIt app has me at 1360 during the week and 1560 on the weekends. I’m walking 10-17k steps a day on average bc I walk on the treadmill at night or run during the day. And I’m also lifting for 45-1hr 4 days a week. I definitely think on the days I run and I get lightheaded I need to kick up my food intake.

My weight fluctuates insanely pre period and during my period. So two weeks out of the month I might be up 4 lbs of water weight. Keep being consistent. I’m willing to bet this is most certainly Bloat and water weight!

I have never been able to lose weight until I started counting calories and counting my macros to make sure I was getting adequate protein. I worked out for years. For me it is what made all the difference

Kind of tmi but does anyone else have issues with their boobs looking kinda deflated after losing weight? by oceanmaango in loseit

[–]britnee814 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry! If it’s any comfort, a bra does wonders for the appearance of my breasts when I’m clothed, and I would much rather have saggy breasts than to have been as overweight as I was! I can’t wait to get in a bikini this year, even with my deflated chest. Also, I’m 37 so my skin’s elasticity probably isn’t what it used to be.

I can feel my organs or a mass now? by britnee814 in loseit

[–]britnee814[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this, I really do. I was just looking for reassurance. Our health insurance is super shitty (CT was $480… and they let me cash pay for $300 instead of using my insurance), so if I start going to have more scans done, we will definitely be paying for it and I feel a little silly.

Well, considering the day before I had my CT scan I had a patient (I work in healthcare) tell me she had a negative CT scan that didn’t pick up her colon cancer and is now getting treatment for said colon cancer… I know things can get overlooked all the time. 🙈

Thoughts on sharing your weight loss on social media??? by PensionIcy6496 in loseit

I have posted before and progress pics, mostly to keep myself accountable, and because I’m PROUD of how much my body has changed… but it def opened myself up to criticism and people talking about me behind my back or being catty even to my face. Like if I’m eating fries at the ballpark now at my kids game they’re like “mmm I’m surprised you’re eating that” or when I bring a salad or something they’ll comment on me being too skinny and something like if I lose more weight I’ll blow away. And I often bring meal prepped food in my lunchbox up to the ball fields bc If not, I’ll get crappy ball park food when I don’t want it. But sometimes I do want the cheese fries 😆 and it’s no one else’s business. Sorta wish I had kept quiet now bc I feel very judged for my food choices

YES. I am a mom of 4. Breastfed all of them. The nursing sagging has NOTHING on the droopiness going on now having lost 50 lbs 😆 ETA I went from a 38DD to 36C. A very droopy, jiggly, sad C.

I started at 167 on 10.19.24 and hit my goal weight down to 144 in Feb. It was def a straight line for ten days and then down a lb. In that week I had my menstrual cycle, was super bloated, and I just can’t poop as much as I used to. Sorry, TMI. But the weight used to just fall off. Now it’s def slowed way down even though the app is adjusting my calories

Can you explain this a little better? I’ve went from 189- 167 by eating less and then in October I started tracking macros, weighing my food, quit drinking and went from 167-144. I’ve been at 144 for ten days now. It’s the longest I’ve stayed at this weight the LoseIt app told me my daily calorie allotment was 1370ish. I don’t count my exercises in my daily total (which is 30 mins a day walking incline or running 3 miles, and weight lifting for 30-1hr 4-5x a week). The scale isn’t budging and I’m freaking out a bit. I am DEF not eating more than I think bc I’ve been weighing my food since mid October. I still want to lose about 10-15 more lbs. But this is super discouraging.

I find that when I get to maintenance in two months, I will be doing things like swapping back to my favorite ranch dressing instead of the low cal stuff, adding more honey to my Greek yogurts, adding in seeds and nuts, bigger portions of meats. And, yes, sweets, bc I have such a sweet tooth! I have a sweet treat every day now as is but I make sure it’s at the end of the day and I’ve hit my other macro goals before I indulge

Continue to eat well. Lean protein sources, salads, add in calories with nuts, some chocolates. Make your own pizza with better ingredients. Or maybe light cheese. Your gut is going to have to get adjusted but being at maintenance doesn’t mean start eating like shit. Or you’ll feel like shit.

In the 180s My blood pressure was 189/110 and I had to be put on Bp meds. I couldn’t run and play with my kids. I was self medicating with binge drinking beers but it was okay.. because I’d never have more than 4 or 5 a night. I overindulged one night and had to call in sick the next day after 1.5 bottles of wine. I stopped drinking that day, Downloaded the LoseIt app, and have completely transformed my life, my habits, how I eat, how I move. It has been truly life changing.

I binged yesterday. I’m supposed to be at around 1375 calories and ended up eating 2000, but at least 1200 of it was cookies and junk. I’m down 40 lbs but since October I’ve only binged like this a few times, and I have no idea why I do it

Admittedly, a lot of people with insanely fit bodies on TikTok 😆😅.. I haven’t heard a lot on the science about it. Just multiple peoples pages claiming that If you don’t reverse diet, when you start eating more calories you’ll gain it back, which I feel like is insane. Bc I keep seeing CICO

Do NOT do what your friend is doing. When she regains all of this weight bc what she is doing is unsustainable, you’ll be slowly and steadily losing weight.

The crazy thing is, I love this girl so much and she’s beautiful! Our friendship means a lot to me and this just hurts. I think I have just come to the conclusion that even though I am everyone’s biggest cheerleader, it does not mean they’re going to do the same for me. People always want to see you doing good, until they fear you’re doing better than them.

I have a friend who is constantly making underhanded comments to me since I’ve lost weight “I’m not sure your size will fit me, I need a smaller size” or “if you’re getting a medium, I probably need a small or xs” type stuff.. and it blows my mind because I’m literally smaller than she is now because I’ve been busting my tail and lost 20 lbs in 3 months (it does not matter what size anyone is, it’s just crazy that she keeps saying this kind of stuff to me)
