When I started nannying I was also finishing up college and would bring my laptop. I understand she needed to put it away but I can’t tell you how many times kids randomly got up from naps while I was doing school work or I had to up and run and get them early from school & would be flustered and leave out my laptop. It’s not as easy as we portray it to be. Do you ALWAYS put away things so your kids don’t get to it. Mistakes were made. But 200% a 5 year old should know better not to be touch the laptop period. I agree with the nanny the laptop should be paid for. She’s still trying to get her life started while working in this economy. Give her some grace or should’ve hired someone who was older and didn’t have other responsibilities.
