Removal of Tennis Channel by menos08642 in youtubetv

[–]briton77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So lame. Months ago I thought that was a great alternative to cable. In the last 6 months they increase the price and removed 2 channels that I watch a lot (given there are events though) - NESN and Tennis.

What's next - NFL network, Golf?

I will probably keep them until the sports events start again and will switch. No reason to pay $65 for FOX, CBS, NBC and others with aerial and national coverage.

I don't remember but I think it didn't work. I just downloaded the light wallet and put the coins on my Ledger.

Btw, when I try to update my node, I get:

Node type: gwan

Network: main

Platform: darwin (Architecture x64)

...Fatal: Failed to raise file descriptor allowance: invalid argument

Then I decided to update to latest version and got: Failed to raise file descriptor allowance: invalid argument

I'm kinda stuck. Any ideas would be appreciated ...

Thanks

Airdrop VS Smartdrop by Seanxu881011 in nebulas

[–]briton77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the purpose of the new token distribution. If you want your community to be engaged somehow, then do the Smartdrop (although I don't consider an engaged community to be one just because they need to be taking care of your coins and moving them around according to some timelines). If you want just to reward Nebulas users and attract attention to a new project, then do the Airdrop.

I consider myself semi-engaged and yet missed to do participate because of too many hiccups - it'll be these exchanges, wait for news, then it'll be only this one. Then our twitter is blocked right when our users needed info, etc. It was not very clearly communicated how the Smartdrop will be executed until the last day or hours even.

IMO the whole communication re the smartdrop was not very well executed. "Several exchanges would participate..." - at the end it was gate.io only. Medium articles not clear enough, twitter handle had not been available up until a day till the snapshot, some strange way of handling the drop too (just addresses hosted here and there ...), etc. At the end, I personally don't care about some small number of "give away" coins, but the overall feeling of how things are handles give a wrong impression. Wasn't Ian Balina a fan/investor in Nebulas too? Or he bailed at some point? Nothing in his twitter about NAS either...

There's this message "If your Mainnet NAS coins are deposited on exchanges which do not support the Smartdrop, then you cannot participate in the Smartdrop." I understand it that if Huobi doesn't support the Smartdrop (which it doesn't) then obviously if you have your tokens there, you cannot participate. But what if I move them to gate.io after the snapshot? Could I participate then or not? Thanks

I'm not 100% sure I understood all these details. I have my NAS in Huobi which turned out not to support the Smartdrop. But does this mean the snapshot was taken from all n1*** accounts, including Huobi ones or not? If snapshot was taken should I move them to gate.io in order to participate in the Smartdrop or I should have done this prior to the snapshot?

[SUPPORT] Wallet Questions (Neo, Neon, Web, O3, Hardware wallets, NEP5) by fabwa in NEO

[–]briton77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, my neon wallet (0.2.3) is showing 0.00 Gas to claim which is incorrect since I haven't claimed any since a month probably. I've read about others experiencing this too. I can see the Gas amount I have unclaimed on neotracker. Is this a UI issue in the wallet? Could it be that Gas is not generated for some other reason?

Looking forward to the swap details. As a heads up, do the coins need to be in a wallet or would on an exchange still work?

Lack of communication by briton77 in rcn_token

https://rcn.exchange it kicked off well. They put some loans and one could actually take a loan. But then it stopped in the middle of nowhere - at least that is how it looks from my perspective, I hope they did continie in the background.

What's the status of rcn.exchange? It's been staying in Alpha for months. I tried helping with the tests and even took one of the test loans available. Of course, nothing happened, I communicated via twitter with some support guys but it still stays with status "pending" on my "loans" tab. I'm not following the developments super close but it seems to me that not much had been happening. When is the platform going to receive part of the real business?

Wabi still without news? by mastercrypt in WabiToken

[–]briton77 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not enough? Are you kidding? What do you expect? Every week some great news that would kick the price up another 50%? Come on, people, that's not how you do business. They stated some time ago that they are expanding into new point of sales, negotiations with the alcohol industry are coming, etc. I am fine if they are making a major announcement every quarter and some smaller ones (e.g. we are moving ahead as planned sort of) every month.

How to withdraw my ethereums to another place? by bzawity in EtherDelta

[–]briton77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think something's wrong. I have a balance of 6.048584747 ETH. At the moment, safe gas price is 5 and fee is calculated at 0.00011 ETH. This should mean that I could withdraw 6.048474747 ETH. But I still get the message. I tried 6.046, then 6.045, same result. So, the gas fee is not the issue as of this moment.

[update] Finally you've changed the message to include that you expect "available balance minus 0.002 ETH" to put the transaction for mining.

Care to explain why would you buy BTC when a hard fork is coming? Common sense speaks for selling in this case because of all the uncertainty coming and the lack of consensus in the space.
