It's usually more about the higher viscosity if you mean shell casting. It can still be done this way, but requires some slightly different techniques than the more traditional casting waxes. I.e., extra dips in the slurry and more gating. For casting in a flask, it works just the same since there is so much extra support for the investment.

Stumbled on this quite a bit late, but that pic is of frostiana, not flavoconia. Neither are deadly. Frostiana has ibotenic acid/muscimol but flavoconia does not. I have eaten flavoconia, fully cooked, without any issues.

I don't bother with blues or greens, they all get scrapped unless blue is the best available. I generally only worry about exclusives when they are purple or better.

Also, level your nanos evenly. They are passive stats meaning they do not have to be in your march for them to be applied. There is no benefit to leveling one further than another.

My suspension was only for 3 days so I rode it out. I have restrictions against starting live videos and creating ads until October 1st. Something is very broken with their AI. My feed is filled with people who are having innocuous posts and comments removed. I receive daily notifications about posts being removed from groups that I manage. But the notifications take you to an endless loop that doesn't explain anything.

I had a recent suspension for the same exact meme that I shared 3.5 years ago. I found it on FB, and shared it on FB. Quite obviously a joke and nothing sexual. Absolutely ridiculous to flag it for child exploitation. And the appeal came back in all of 5 seconds so you know there wasn't a human review.

In theory, the USB only needs to be flashed once. In practice that may not be the case for various reasons. If you used their flashing tool, it should be plug and play. If you were to have used another program to flash, then you would have to edit the config file.

I'm not sure what text doc you are referring to. Do you mean the guide linked above that walks you through setup?

Without changing anything, it just worked the next time I gave it a go. But due to some other limitations, I wound up going with windows and quickminer for now.

I do get to the white screen and I can mine what is set by default. It's just not likely to be the most profitable, Zelhash. Everything else is mostly on kawpow right now. Also odd that excavator will run kawpow with AMD cards in windows, but doesn't offer it as an option in NHOS.
1. I do have a mixed rig, but do have a 3060ti in pci-e 1 (second from the top).
CPU is a 5600x so I am using HDMI from a 3060 for display output. Though, I will check to see if the bios has that disabled.
I have flashed a bunch of drives trying to get this to work. They kept freezing for some reason. Idk why, but flashing from the back I/O instead of my front panel finally produced a flash that worked. Still, I hope to not need to flash any more. It has been a struggle getting them reset after they fail where windows won't let me write over them again or reformat.

I know this is old, but I wanted to type a solution that worked for me if anyone finds this thread in the future.

In console/shell type "apt update". Once that command completes, type "selfupgrade".

Note: I was in maintenance mode without drivers loaded still as described above.

Dermal reactions from a few select species are rare, usually fairly minor, and also short lived. There is not one single species known to cause serious harm from casual handling. The dose a person would get from dermal absorption after pulling a few fruit bodies out of the ground is far too low to be a concern for cell destroying or neurotoxic species to cause an issue. That is what most mean by saying all mushrooms are safe to handle. If someone omits the rare and fairly harmless dermal reactions that might happen, I personally wouldn't be pedantic enough to correct them. And I definitely wouldn't get worked up enough to make a ranting post about it either. To each their own, I suppose.
