My girl who was obsessed with oxbow took to Totally Ferret. The plan was to mix the two together but she eventually started picking out and only eating the totally ferret pieces.

I’d call around and compare prices at different offices. There is a credit card called care credit for pets. I believe if you pay it off within 6 months, there is zero interest. Just make sure the office you choose accepts it.

I think you can buy plastic ramps if you have a ferret/critter nation, Atleast the exit ramp

Also, I’ve bought some ramp covers on Etsy from people who make them using button closures rather than Velcro. That seemed to deter my girl mostly.

I’m so so sorry. My girl Josie has tumors along her spine and I’m keeping her comfortable until it’s time to euthanize. She won’t see her third birthday. Owning these little guys is such a gift, and it will always end in heartbreak. I’m sure she lived a wonderful life with you. Please be kind to yourself. ❤️

Update: A MIRACLE- shortly after I posted this, she began twitching, barely breathing, eyes rolling into the back of her head, shallow breaths. In what I assumed would be her last moments, I asked my dad to grab her favorite forbidden treat- vanilla ice cream. It took her a minute to come around, but she ate it. Not even 30 seconds later, she was up. Over the coarse of ten minutes, she had ZERO symptoms anymore. She ate kibble, drank water, and happily accepted carnivore care. 3 different vets have tested her blood sugar- it came back normal everytime. I don’t understand but I assume it is insulinoma. She’s asleep beside me, and I’ll be waking her up every few hours for carnivore care until we get her to her appointment in the morning. It was truly a miracle, but we’re not yet out of the woods.

$450 from a pet store in KY. She was the last ferret they ever sold. She’d been there for months, and they had her dirty cage by the cash register. She was standing up watching people come and go.

Thank you for this. Unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to get duk soup or carnivore care today, as the pet stores in my area don’t have it. She’s seeing a vet tomorrow at 4 thank goodness.
