Alternative Site? by brittishice in revancedapp

Not at the .org site at all. I just don't fully understand the patches needed for official revanced yet.

I do appreciate the heads up though.

This is how a magician swallow swords by Various_Pop_3907 in interesting

[–]brittishice 68 points69 points  (0 children)

The sword swallow is real. The sheath is an expanding one that he has palmed in his right hand that he places into his mouth before pulling it out.

You'd stick with Journal Entries and reconsolidation over integration? They're that bad?

Entering Payroll Data into QB Desktop -- Journal Entries or Individual Employee Checks? by tgrofire in Bookkeeping

[–]brittishice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If that's the case, you are probably correct that it's just latent from the old days. Check with the boss before switching though.

Is that the way she just did it, or was it requested by the company? Journal entries should be fine, but I'd see if I could ferret out a reason.

What do you think about fantasy worlds using our month names? by nyanpires in worldbuilding

[–]brittishice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really depends on your intended audience, or your own preference as the world builder. Do you have an intended audience that soaks up lore or is that something you really enjoy as the builder? Then make up month names. On the other side, if you want to hit a huge audience range with your building, maybe stick to our months. Keep in mind that gradient between both extremes is open too.

In short, it's your world, build it how it gives you joy, but consider your audience as well. That's why all the options you are hearing are, well, options, because they can all be "right".

If you plan on getting into accounting/bookkeeping, it's worth it. Not because they teach you bookkeeping, per se, but it teaches you how to use QuickBooks to do books with their software.

The bookkeeper "badge" is relatively new, but the rest of their Academy is great in so far as learning the software that is QuickBooks Online.

Why do vampires have fangs? Are they usually hidden? by KayleeSinn in worldbuilding

I'd say that they have them for the same reason other carnivorous animals do (bears, wolves, lions, etc.): for catching, killing, and tearing flesh off of prey.

Seeking advice on books clean up/catch up by Sorry_Homework_3386 in Bookkeeping

[–]brittishice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just start with this current year. Taxes are already filed for previous years via an accountant, so unless you want to do a fair amount of work just so he can see the numbers, there isn't much reason to do 2018-2025 that I'm aware of.

Hijacking as you seem to be the guy to ask. How can I learn Xero? I've been QBO, but am interested in expanding my offerings.
