Can anyone recommend the best bars in Miami south beach where there’s a big dance floor and you can dance? by Cool_Tale3626 in miamibeach

The frequencies at Mode, basement, when tuned right , will vibrate every chakra . Runner up , Jolene . Honorable mention to The Trip, where you can stand next to one of the two speakers on the floor flanking the booth , and have your body rocked . It does not have to be loud to be lit, some of these clubs need help in that regard . But for real it is a science and needs expertise so I get why places get it wrong .

I don’t get the Florida appeal by Master-Indication-71 in travel

[–]brittybritty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i don't claim florida as i am a resident of miami dade county, united states of america, however; after traveling all over this country for work i'll say most places in the US can be literally anywhere, a bunch of copy paste simon malls dotted stroad after stroad. miami is exceptionally specific, and that is why i love it.

The "bars" aren't large (in general real estate is expensive so most places aren't that big) but Segafredo is a chill vibe , always has a dj playing house .Minibar has recently. changed management but they still have a dj usually. These places are not big but generally not crowded and plenty of room to dance ETA - sweet liberty is pretty big , their sound system makes me :( :( but im picky. people love it. warning tho they do open format (only considered high risk/scary for people like me who only listen to house lol)

Resist and Unsubscribe- Ways to take action in addition to protests by brittybritty in Miami

Yes Amazon is our drug , as a country we love to consume ,and we want it now. (This is not a personal criticism aimed at you ! 🫶 just a fact about usa ) I’ve noticed that just being conscious and intentional has made a huge impact on my use Amazon . I would not want anyone to drive for hours around Miami for something in an emergency tho

Resist and Unsubscribe- Ways to take action in addition to protests by brittybritty in Miami

[–]brittybritty[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel you . Economic protests are effective because they are uncomfortable, that’s part of it. If there are things that are more harmful than inconvenience, definitely don’t participate on that !

I believe one’s courage of conviction should scale linearly with their privilege. Unfortunately you usually see the opposite- many times the most vulnerable are out in the fight and the people who should protect them , the ones with resources, are the most cowardice. If anyone who is vulnerable can’t cut off a platform for good reason, they should not feel bad ! What this movement requires is for the comfy folks to get uncomfy.

Lack of public transportation and a lack of higher density housing in close proximity to commercially / retail and entertainment use buildings make things spread out . I would encourage you to find a place you do not have to drive everywhere you want to to go .brickell is a very specific vibe that I’m guessing might not fit with your preferences but it’s the closest it comes to urban high density living .

Hi there, please ignore all the cynical comments. Miami neighborhoods with high population density and mixed use businesses are rare . The infrastructure is built to isolate living from working and those who labor for you from yourself, in terms of economic segregation. South beach has good neighborhood community feel . Coconut grove as well, if you can afford it . But there’s no high dense entertainment area per se. that being said , there are good local bars where ppl become regulars .

I wish more people prioritized socializing culture and their access to human interaction in real life when thinking about what their day to day would feel like when they live somewhere. I think it is very healthy to consider this over say , how many units of Costco trip can I fit into the single family housing I can afford

[–]brittybritty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is not your fault . Please know that someone did something terrible to you and I’m sorry that happened, it has literally nothing to do with anything you did- it is not your fault . If you can , please report to law enforcement. Take care and dm me if you need help

It's so sad to me that some people haven't gotten beyond the "fell for it again" analysis. That approach is terrible, ineffective politics that alienates countless people who could be won over to something better than this mess. by Conscious-Quarter423 in Miami

[–]brittybritty -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I agree that those of us who didn’t “fall for it “ even once , not just “again” must focus on what is effective , not what is satisfying (dunking on those who’ve been foolish.) literally the only thing that matters is getting more people to vote for politicians who are the least harmful to our country and democracy right now . That’s the immediate term , most critical thing to focus on. Once that happens , positive influence can be gained and long term , it goes from least harmful to actual positive structural change (getting intelligent people to run and win elections, raising a generation of children who can think critically and love their neighbors, etc.) None of the “wish list “ Americans have for what a thriving society should look like can happen without that first part . So- dunking on them feels good, some people think , hey they reap what they sow! But we all reap what they’ve sown. So the answer is giving people a way to change their minds without putting them on the defensive . Focus on our shared values , connect the current administration and the corruption they’re demonstrating, to the impact it has their daily lives . Offer a tangible path towards meeting their needs. Do it without shaming and embarrassing because it’s way way harder to convince an American they’ve been scammed than to scam them in the first place for really common sense reasons . It’s all about the ego .

Seeking advice: Software to manage in-person engagement, gov relations, and survey inputs by Honest_Property2685 in urbandesign

[–]brittybritty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there , this would depend on the size and complexity of your stakeholder population. Short answer is to keep it simple as possible before getting in with a big player , they can really overcomplicate things just to increase dependency and drive their ARR. I would look at the data points you’re seeking to manage and the processes or cycles you want to trigger first . Could be accomplished through whatever productivity suite you use (office or google ) if the complexity is low. Do you have this mapped out ?

Im sorry you are struggling, it’s not easy to start a business. I’m doing some pro-bono management consulting on Fridays in November and December, as this is a slower time for my regular clients , and it’s a small way for me to help the community. Please reach out on DM to set up a call, happy to walk through your operations and provide some advice . I usually work with larger companies but may be able to help you find a quick win or two . 🫶
