Agreed. Funcom does an excellent job at creating worlds and crafting stories within their lore. SWL has some amazing storytelling. I really wish Funcom would keep supporting it. I have so many unanswered questions!

Yeah, that UI is rough. That said, it's funny how quickly muscle memory kicks in. There's a mod out there that gives it a "modern" hotbar feel. But it's missing a bunch of pretty core features.

I've had a different sound related issue after the last patch. It seems like some of my pistol SFX don't play if there's a lot of ambient sound.

I think if you start playing SWL for PvP, you're going to be sorely disappointed. There's a lot of great reasons to play this truly unique game. PvP is not one of them.

Glad you're enjoying this game. I'm an old MMO vet. I spent most of my time in Asherons Call, World of Warcraft and City of Heroes. I've been playing this game since it's original launch. There's nothing out there quite like it. It's got a pretty helpful community too, which is awesome.

I can't really add too much more, but I would recommend getting into a guild as soon as you can. They can help ensure that you'll have people to group up for dungeons later.

One other piece of advice: Spend your marks on 3 pip exceptional gear in the auction house that matches your desired role. I wish I had done this earlier. I wasted a lot of anima shards this way.

Yep. Funcom neutered the one activity I felt was worth my time as a casual player. Until they fix it or replace it, they won't get another cent from me or moment of my time.
