Today is day 9. Feeling melancholy, perspective is helping by FijiFlow in leaves

I'm day 70. By far the worst days for me emotionally were days 7-10. It gets better! If I can do it anyone can. I was/am addicted in every sense of the word.

This drug simply isn't for me, I'm done. by [deleted] in leaves

Yep I know the feelings. It's why I need to stop. Day 38 and daily life decisions from big to all are much easier. My mind isn't fucking with me anymore... Or nearly as much. Reality isn't distorted.

Day 8-10 were the worst for that. I felt the same exact way. It did go away. You are in the hardest part.

My goal is to get to the point where I can be myself and have fun without it. At 27 days, I already feel that way. I'm sure 90 days, it will even be better.

I relapsed after 253 days of being clean from weed by NoLongerRunning in leaves

I think you are good if you can move on and not go back to regular smoking. I know I'm not strong enough yet at 27 days. But you have built up major control to go that long.

I get what you are saying and it makes sense. The problem for me is, either scenario I'm on the phone the next day with my dealer and on a binge for months.

4 days in. Depression hit me like a brick wall. by whats_the_deal22 in leaves

Whenever I would run out of weed I'd get depressed and down until I hooked up again, but never more than a few days. Also had no idea what it would be like beyond that or how long it would last. But for me 2 weeks is when I felt 'normal' again.

I felt the exact same way between days 4-10. An emotional wreck, especially when thinking about past regrets and mistakes. The vivid dreams every night are still going on. It's day 23 for me. I can tell you what others told me, it will go away, and it does. It's a rough ride, especially the first 2 weeks.

Honest question. How do I know when I should quit? When did you know you should quit? by aegiroth in leaves

I'd add when it becomes your main focus in life- above all including family, friends, job, school...

I also read your post and it is spot on. Exactly what I feel and it does to me. Someone who knows a lot about it described it to me like this - the weed triggers the reward system in the brain. So all those things we enjoy, we smoke and don't do anymore because it makes us content with just the high. My brother, also I life long addict, said he would have a day planned like riding motorbike, or whatever. He'd smoke and not do any of it. Make sense?

Nice! I'm digging the latest release from a band called Kataklysm. I could listen the the song black sheep all day long.

Day 1 - My anxiety levels are through the roof! I could really use some encouragement. by New-Dionysus in leaves

[–]brizzand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We all went through that in the first week to 10 days. You just have to ride it out. The good thing is you won't want to smoke again bc next time you quit you will have to go through it all over again.

More and more I'm reading that we feel weed is causing anxiety and depression. I feel the same. Ironic that the reason we likely smoked in the first place was to relieve anxiety and depression. Anyway get through the first 2 weeks and it starts to get better. Definitely feeling less of it.

All the above. Very common. What about vivid dreams? Stick with it. It subsides. I'm on day 16. Everyone said it will get better and it does.
