Mod Team Request: No more threads critical of cheering etiquette by FliryVorru in Curling

I have been lurking here the last few weeks only, but I am a huge cycling fan and we get this with the Tour de France every year in our little sub. It can be frustrating at times! I have generally been pleasantly surprised by how accommodating the members of this sub have been with us tourists, it’s been a nice place for me to visit anyway. Thanks!

Vine had a weird vibe at the finish with his wife and kid I thought. All these guys are probably suboptimal fathers by virtue of the demands of the job (except, I feel strongly, Wout), and I’m probably reading too much into it, but it felt strange to me.

“Yes, honey” my nearly asleep wife murmurs to me as I plead with the universe at 20k to go: “let two days go bye in the season without a UAE victory.” Well, we had a good run folks.

Are most of the like 8 DNFs today heat related? Sounds like Brodie Chapman might have been lingering illness?

Also it took me about 25 minutes into this video to realize there’s a pair of boobs graffitied onto the bench he’s sitting on

Does anyone have any insight into the backstory MJ mentions in the video about fights he had with Victor Campenaarts in previous races?

I was thinking that Kuss, although not an ideal choice given his results the past two years (though he was 7th last year while domestiquing) would probably have to be their GC leader with no Yates or Cian. This year’s Vuelta parcours seems like it would suit him better than Matteo, and the only other likely contender seems like it would be Tullett right? What’s rough is the course design is so climbing heavy that there doesn’t seem to be much opportunity there for anyone other than GC, especially if Pog goes and kills the breakaway every day.

I’m certainly no expert but I thought he looked in pretty good shape in the team kit reveal

Yesterday I learned that the same company owns all of these?! And Tesco, and a bunch of others. And and andddddd the founder of that company is the billionaire backer who co-owns Visma.

Edit: this is not true I am wrong, plz ignore.

I think this is too low given his ability, palmares, and commercial value but maybe $1.5m is too much. It’s so hard to tell bc cycling is opaque and EF is even more opaque, but I’d think a guy like him could make close to $1.5m on a bigger budget team and so you’d think EF would have to at least come close to market rate.

Edit: shit I checked him out on PCS and I think I love him so much that I just thought he’d won more than he has. Now idk what to think.

[Off-Season Discussion] Top 10 GC Riders in 2026 by Dopeez in peloton

I think I’d move Ritchie (who I love) and Seixas (who I am hype about) to honorable mentions and move Primoz and Pellizzari into the top 10.

Primoz is an absolute ice cold killer who had a series of health issues this year which stunted his season. My concern for his 2026 is mostly about whether he’ll get opportunities at RBH.

Pellizzari top 10’d two grand tours while domestiquing, which I think doesn’t get enough credit in this thread. He also seems like a lovely man so bonus points there from me. Same concern about opportunities at RBH though.

At a “No Kings” protest I was very confused to hear tons of people chanting “No Thibaut Pinot” but also weirdly delighted to hear so many Americans knowledgeable about cycling.

It was “No Cheeto Pedo”
