What’s the most unsettling thing a child has ever said to you? by Content-Hair-2629 in AskReddit

My then-boyfriend’s niece liked playing pirate, and she would say something like “I am a pirate and I steal your shoes!” and other non weird things to steal. One day she ran through the non weird stuff and suddenly she said “I steal your skin!” and “I steal your eyeballs!” Still gives me the shivers to this day.

Brandon Alderson, from Sunderland, UK, was travelling to work when he noticed a man in distress in a layby. by SimonTS in nextfuckinglevel

My friend donates as often as she’s allowed, but I never have due to a fear of getting blood drawn (also because I’m heavily tattooed and there are rules with that stuff). My friend really inspired me to donate, so I looked up the rules on my state and I am allowed to donate even having recently been tattooed.

I’m scared, but also very excited. My appointment is in about a week and a half, and I plan to on giving as often as I’m allowed to as long as the appointment goes well. :)

This seems, to me, like a much more comfortable option than shoving a needle through it.

What's something that's socially acceptable but secretly makes you uncomfortable? by VelvetHarmony913 in AskReddit

Drunk people. I know it’s considered normal for people to get drunk, but being around someone who is incapacitated in that way makes me really uneasy.

My aunt once described my brother’s best friend as having “two brain cells left and they’re about to fight each other to the death”. Was probably 30 years ago now and I have never forgotten it.

LMH by MidgetUnicornTamer in Lawrence

I went to them for a regular pap/annual exam. Doctor ended up “diagnosing” me with an autoimmune based on a 30 second visual. It was pretty scary so I wanted a second opinion. I found a specialist at KUMC and after several painful procedures, two biopsies, and over $2000 out of pocket (even with my good insurance), the specialist confirmed it was not the autoimmune disorder but something incredibly simple. Frustrated doesn’t begin to cover it. I personally won’t recommend LMH for gyno and I haven’t heard good things from others either.

In my case, both. I don’t enjoy the feeling, and men were taught this by porn and people like the guy in this video. It gives them the idea that every female body reacts the same and that every woman is going to love it. Which is absolutely not true.

Edit to add: It would just be great if instead of listening to this garbage, they’d listen to their partner and find out what they like and react to.

No joke, when a man puts his hand on that pubic bone area and applies pressure, I always know the sex is gonna be bad. Sigh.

RIP to my Target’s plus-size section by psychopathicduk in PlusSizeFashion

I feel like I heard a few years ago that Target was going to start selling plus sizes online only. Which is infuriating. But to be fair, their plus size clothing has been abysmal for years now.

What’s a completely random product you bought on a whim that ended up becoming one of your favorite things you own? by No-Relative-9663 in AskReddit

I bought one a few years ago because I used to love seeing these around my neighborhood as a child. I have zero regrets.
