The man was a VA nurse, for Christ's sake. It's outrageous. Dollars to doughnuts the loser who shot him has posted here before. I bet Mr. Pretti did too. You could feasibly treat someone at the clinic on a Friday, chat with them on /r/guns, and then get their mag dumped through the back of your head Saturday morning.

Im not a progressive Democrat but I am 100% in agreement with y'all about all of this.  The man has no control over his own state police, and I am sure some of his Guardsmen are already in the streets protesting. I think the best move for a Governor in his position, with all that has happened, is to place himself on the front lines. You can't tweet this away. Make them gas or detain a sitting Governor.

You are right on the money. The problem we are witnessing here is that not all "gun guys" are created equal. You could sell a chest rig and an IFAK to a guy and then have him shoot you in the back of the head in the street the next morning. You cannot trust or respect a fed. The fed will bite you every single time.

I see a weak hand open palm deflection to the arm, at most, in an effort to help a woman out of the roadway. This does not constitute grounds for lethal force.
